They keep saying the carnival was abandoned a long time ago. But yet it still has electricity, the merry-go-round still works with no problems, the music still plays, etc. Also, why is the music playing when they make calls but almost never any other time except when the merry-go-round was running?

Maybe Daisy talked someone to turn the lights back on for some dumb reason so that is why the electricity was working. Most writers do not think the fans will notice little things like that but they do not know us to well.

I wondered the same thing. I think that they need to do some things to a little better than they do. My 13 year old daughter noticed that Victoria left the coffeehouse without her gift from Reed and then she had it when she got home. I believe that they make mistakes on stuff like that and they do not notice, but viewers do.

I often try to defend the show against your penetrating insights, but I have no real defense to offer this time. I suppose it's theoretically possible the place might have generators (if so they're very quiet), but it seems unlikely that they and everything else would have been left behind in vintage condition. I also can't imagine Sarah buying the place and paying for it to hooked up to the grid...it would be too easy to trace her then.
