Jejemon are people who are using numbers, extra-characters on sms, and they wear something colorful when the go outside to be identified.
Jeje is from the word Heheh.. when we use to type on sms when we laugh..
Mon is from the word Pokemon.. influences by cartoon character Pokemon in some styles..
There are 3 levels of being Jejemon. From being somehow readable to non-jejemon and severe, which only jejemon people can read.
So in other words, these is somehow similar to steno style of communication using sms. Hope it helps this time.. Happy mylotting.. =)

It is actually against the guidelines of Mylot to use any other language aside from English. So happily, it won't proliferate and be tolerated at Mylot. And it will look funny for the other people from other country. (^^,)

I've encountered that so many times at forums especially when they are asking help and advise to the extent that their statement was like a novel already. Imagine how annoying it is.

I don't see the point too when they showed it on the news like a phenomenon that is so cool and funny for the young generation. It's like promoting a bad habit when it comes to language. I hope it will only live a short run.

Yup, it was shown on the news, after Gibo Teodoro's picture was seen holding a placard with like a greeting pertaining to the Jejemons. So everybody was wondering what is this jejemon thing. And there was even one report about being a jejemon buster and the levels of how bad a jejemon can be...If I may say, the level of Absurdity they can be. Why not use stars and half moons next time people text or write? or drawings like in the prehistoric time?

This one make me laugh that it was also showed on the news, good thing I was not able to watch it or else I am going to change the channel for sure. I think it will happen that it will only live a short run especially nowadays there are lots of important things to do now that it is already election time.

Oh my! maybe that is the reason why Gibo is not a president because he is obviously against of Jejemon HAHAHAHA JUST KIDDING! Because I saw some pic of Gibo that he is holding a placard too but it says that "Jejemons should be go back to grade school" something to that extent.

i don't make fun of them, however, I AM SO AGAINST THEIR WAY OF POSTING ON THE INTERNET. i don't mind if they'd JUST DO THAT ON PHONE MESSAGES but on the internet and i mean the WORLD WIDE WEB, it's really disturbing and annoying. seriously, you think it's nonsense? well, for others it's NOT NONSENSE. i take time to read posts on every discussions i belong to. and sometimes i even read the whole discussion. because to me internet is a very cheap source of knowledge (you know, you don't have to enroll on every courses you find interesting), but seeing something illegible for me is really frustrating. yes! i hate it when i can't understand some things i wanted to understand. and no, i can't get used to their way of typing. 4=A, 3=E, 6=G, a lot of Hs and Zs in places they're not needed, they use shortcuts and extended spelling simultaneously. like wow! some innovation every filipinos should be proud of? whew! enough of the ranting there. i'm actually over these jejemons (had 1 jejemonsters week on my facebook account not realizing oohh they're pretty popular, i'm not liking it so i had to move on). they've become unnecessarily sensational and i don't want to be part of this trend even as a jejebuster, BUT i don't get why you think it's nonsense.

you just confused me. you said you found out about what jejemon is and you thought the meaning is nonsense. now you're saying it's nonsense because it is hard to read the sticky caps. if you're having a hard time to read them, then the issues with jejemons are NOT nonsense. they are bothersome, that's why they're getting much attention. ANYWAY, the mere fact that they're getting such attention is already annoying since a lot had been trying to associate themselves to this trend either as jejemons or as jejebusters or even as posers (people who denies they're jejemons although the signs are very apparent, and worse, they make fun of the jejemons themselves). i was hoping it wasn't sensationalized that way. i was hoping the appropriate way/s of posting entries to the Internet will be taught to them not by isolating, ridiculing or making fun of them but by seriously telling them which should be done and which should not be. although, i had to admit i failed to set example too. as the first time i've seen a jejemon post online, I RANT and CURSE. my bad.

What I mean is when I've read the meaning or definition of Jejemon at Urban Dictionary I just analyzed it as "non sense" since it was stated that they are individuals with low IQs who spread their idiocy on the web by tFyInG lYk diZs jejejeje. And yes that is another thing that I can define as non sense too in my own opinion since it was really hard to read it especially when it was written like a novel over the web.

I just said it is non sense because it is hard to read the sticky caps, just like you I can still tolerate that on phone messages but not here on the internet especially in forums whereas it is unlimited to type the number of characters, except for the title.

I was really curious about this Jejemon, haha! wondering what does it really mean, does it make sense at all, is it helpful if everyone knows and use this stuff...I usually heard and seen this on Facebook and it really made me curious about Jejemon I just sometimes try to agree or say "yes" even if I really don't understand what they really mean, hehe!

i just found out what jejemon is, even though it's been around for sometime now. i also dislike it when people use jejemon. why make life difficult right, why bother making it hard for people to read and understand your message? i dislike this more than using "me" or "u" such as "eat na me" or "mall na u." acck. sorry but this plus that ever-irritating jejemon are so "jologs" to me at least.

Actually there are shortcut languages that are still tolerated on me especially if I am going to read that in mobile phones or even in yahoo messenger. I could understand especially if it has a limit and most people are in hurry when texting. What bothers me that much is they are doing statement like a novel with full of sticky caps.

I have never heard of this, until well my bf says he heard it from his supervisor. thanks for the information on this - i have not encountered such a person so i wouldn't know what to say about them.
my only take is that i hope they will not make fun of the language, whether as they speak or write it; remember that when we have sms, people here in the Philippines have often misspelled words even in their tests or examinations. So if they often do this, i think their studies mayy suffer. We have already had enough of iliteracy going on... i hope this does not add to the issue.

I am hoping that this is not gonna be that strong influence to the people around the world.

Jejemon are short for jologs who don't know how to spell words correctly. Kids go to school to learn how to compose and spell words correctly. being a jejemon is the complete opposite, now what do you call that? But there's what we call freedom of expression, if they are happy with it then good for them. Lets just see how those kids will do when they graduate and look for a job, i hope they will still keep what their teachers taught them in school.

Well not exactly they don't really know how to spell it but they are doing that in purpose because they thought it is really cool and fun. Oh well goodluck to their eyes and to other readers.

They spread like a disease in the internet. More children are expose to these doings what these people "Jejemons" are. I don't see anything unique about their text. They not only exist in the Internet but also in the Text in Cellphones. When I see text like that I automatically delete it. Can't stand their awful texts. I don't know why people seem to be doing these things.

Lol! Because for them it looks unique, cool and more creative. Usually teenagers are the ones who are really fond of doing the sticky caps and text linggo languages.

The jejemon texts are funny, but annoying sometimes, that's why I ignore texts like that. We don't know for sure maybe new words will be evolved out of these words, but I hope the way they text right now won't get to the point wherin it would be taught in schools!Horror!haha!

My God I can't take it anymore if this will be taught in schools or there will be an insane professor that will teach the children regarding jejemon, probably she will be kick out of the campus and she must find a new job. Better to be a janitress.

I respect your opinion regarding the jejemon, actually that kind of texting is not really new anymore that was long time ago. The only thing that is new to my ears is that they were called as jejemon.

Jejemon are those people that use weird character when texting. They will spell words in a very unusual way that it is hard to understand. Example of this is when they use 3 for letter E, they txt 'jejejeje' instead of 'hehehe'.They have also a certain get ups and dresses. Maybe that's why they are called jejemon.
I watched a program the other day in which they interview jejemons. Their reason for making this unusual spelling is boredom. They are bored reading a plain text that's why they put some kind of an art according to them.
I think it's a rising culture among the texters.I have nothing against them but really it's hard to read their text messages.

Yeah my concern there is about reading the text that is really hard to read and as what I've mentioned above some posters of forums are doing it. At times their contents are sensible enough but their words are really annoying. Or at times they are asking for advise or help then they did that by typing in sticky caps which is hard to read. My point there is how could you help them if that is very irritating to read.

I am not really against Jejemon... Maybe they only find this language tricks funny and not boring compared to the one that we are using. But I am only afraid that time will come, this will affect the understanding, writing and speaking abilities of kids (children) who are addicted to this stuff. They might end up having difficulties when they are in language school, when finding a job later on and during interviews. I hope this will not happen...

I believe it will not be happen, before this jejemon thingy became well known there are already sticky caps appeared not only in our mobile phones but also in some forums because they find it so cool and creative. So far nothing happens or the influence was not that so strong like they can apply it in school assignments, articles and other stuffs that are important in our lives.

It's a fad! People having fun with Jejemon just need to be belonged and be recognized. It's just a self-expression. There is nothing wrong to be a fun of Jejemon. For every generation there is fad and sense of individuality.
Personally, I'm not fun of Jejemon but I am not against on what they are doing. While they are being Jejemon, people will be more aware of who you are and where do we belong.

I totally respect your opinion regarding jejemons, however I am glad that you are not against of it and you totally understand their sense individuality. Maybe I was just annoyed because I can't relate and as I have stated above it irritates to my eyes when I am reading their text that I could relate to some posters of the forums.
