What's the best gift a daughter can give on Mother's Day?

I am also struggling with the same thing. I have 3 siblings (my young sister and two brothers). the last 3 or so years we have been buying a combined gift, would go to her house (my young sister still lives with her) and fuss over her and spoil her the whole day (well for at least two hours that sunday). I have been wondering whether we should change for this year - or keep at it and in another 3years it will be a tradition cast in concerete. I guess what i am trying to say is it depends on what you have been doing for the past years, i am suggesting for both you and me that a break from the traditional, to give her a good surprise will not be a bad idea, huh? I am also a mother but my children are still quite young, I am guesiing i will get my usual, a flower from my garden and an attempt at breakfast in bed (with dad's help of course). Please wish me luck or better still pray for me - if last year's offering is anythinh to go by!

I'm a mum of five. I can tell you that what I love most is not some expensive present, I'd hate for my kids to have to struggle to buy me a present, but I love when I get something really thoughtful. For example I had always admired lily of the valley flowers but had none in my garden, and one year my daughter gave me a little watering can with some lily of the valley plants in. It depends on the interests of your mother. Last time I visited my mother, she said that she likes to have a watch. So, I will get a formal watch for his on Mother's day. I know that she also like small purses. I also bought a small purse to gift to her. If your mother is fond of handbags, you can gift her a handbag. You can also gift her some kitchen utensils.

Well as a mother I would love to receive a day of being pampered. For instance spending a day with my daughter getting a manicure and pedicure or haircut and facial with a nice lunch. It think that is a fun day. How about something that she enjoys doing. If she has a hobbie that she can use new supplies. If she enjoys reading, get a favorite author new book. You can also take her out to eat or cook her a nice family dinner. I hope this helps in some way. Good luck!

hello liz, For me the best gift to give our mom aside from our love and support is the things they love to have or do. I lost my mom when I was 11 and I consider my sister who is now a mother of her beautiful daughter my second mom. She loves collecting earrings and I bought her a simple silver loop earring and she liked it a lot.

I was also having the same thoughts last Saturday and I finally decided to buy something she likes and she needs and that's her favorite beauty soap. I think it was so lame of me to give her that but I just cant think of anything. I am pretty sure she's gonna like it though.
