Redgage: better than PTC

I joined Redgage about a week ago, and find it far better than clicking in PTC whole day. PTC does not have passive income component, but Redgage does.
Redgage is a social bookmarking website. As a website that pays for page views, I find it far better than many PTC sites.
Basically what you do is, copy and paste the link from a blog post, news or other pages in a website, then copy and paste a sentence or two as the description. Give the title (or copy the title), and then click submit.
I have bookmarked a few of my blog posts this way. The best is to find my income increased even when I was sleeping.
I bookmarked a few important blog posts twice, giving a different title, and choosing other sentences as description.
I have seen people joining for two years and earn $300 to $700.
Besides links, we can upload blogs (any blog that you come across), pictures (must be yours), and documents.
The daily contest in Redgage pays $25 to the winner.
The only thing I dont like about Redgage is that the minimum payment is $25, and payment is by Visa. That means they send the Visa card to you.
After I upload the url of all my blog posts, I intend to upload the blog posts of my friends. I find that is the fastest way to make money from Redgage.

Hi Scheng, I am a member of redgage, but I have not been very active with them. I guess if I applied myself and put all my articles on there that I might actually make more money that way. I found redgage by an accident. It worked out good for me although I haven't even reached a dollar yet. I have downloaded a little bit of stuff, but I haven't really promoted my writings yet.

Hi Mommaj, you really need spanking.
By using Redgage to bookmark all your articles, you can increase the ranking of the articles, and earn money from Redgage.
I'm nearly a dollar there already, and I joined less than a week ago. How slow you are!
I think you should learn to crawl faster, and dont always hide in your cave banging on the wall.

When you say bookmark do you mean put a link to the articles or is there an actual bookmark section on Redgage? Wow that's really great that you are already up to a dollar. I need to do whatever you are doing. LOL I haven't really been trying to do anything there for quite some time.

haha Mommaj, that is the common term for websites like Redgage.
That means you put the link to direct people to the right article. That is similar to putting the bookmark on your book, so that you can turn to the right page.
Faster bookmark all your articles. Copy and paste the link to each article, copy the title, copy the description, and add a few words as the keywords.
I think you no need to sleep tonight. Bookmarking all your content in Associated Content and Helium will take a few hours oh.
Let the ghosts keep you awake!

This sounds quite interesting Scheng! I don't know how I feel about the VISA card, I suppose it is a convenient thing for them and as long as there are no fees associated with the card it can still be spent like cash anywhere that takes credit cards.
I like the idea of a site that pays you while you promote your writing and blogs. What is the daily contest about?

Hi Canellita, I do not know whether there is referral link.
When you sign up, you fill in the name etc, at the bottom, you can fill in the person who refers you.
My user name is the same as here. I do not know about Mommaj, I think there is no referral earning, just more chances to win the daily contest.
Maybe you can ask Mommaj for her user name over there, and put her name there. Once she wins the $25 from the daily contest, you can go to her cave and eat all you want!
Getting links to your articles do not mean immediate increase in traffic. It means that the articles will rank higher in search engine result page (SERP), and that will result in more traffic from search engines.
That is why article promotion is very important. This is known as the offpage seo techniques.
The more links pointing to an article means that article is very important. So the search engines will rank the more important articles on top.

Hi scheng1,
Thank you for the valuable information. It seems like a great way to promote my articles and create some more passive income. I have a question since we are both from the same country.
I believe it is for international users, since you have joined. How does the Visa work? I have never been paid via Visa thus far, only Paypal, AlertPay, or cheque. How do you think this will work for us?

AnythingArt I have not been able to locate your blog. I thought after you signed on to mine as a follower it would show up in your profile but it does not.

Hi Yugasini, you can find my blogs from my profile page here.
Have you joined redgage? If you have, you can just copy and paste the url of my blog post, copy and paste the title or give a new title, and copy one or two sentences to describe the blog post.
And try to make friends and leave comments in Redgage as well. You should see your income increase as you upload more material and get more page views.
If you come across any interesting blog posts, you can also use Redgage to link to them.
In that way, you help to promote their blogs, and you can make money in Redgage as well.

Hi Monkeylong, I think Redgage is a good site for those who do not write articles to make money online.
After all, it is just a matter of copy and paste.
I joined Redgage mainly to promote my blog posts. However, when I read a good article or blog post, I just submit it to Redgage. If the blog post get featured, I can earn a few dollars for it.
After you joined Redgage, you can hunt for interesting things to post there. You can also help me upload the links to my blog posts. Hope you make good money from it.

Hi scheng, I'm a member of redgage and the site is really good :) no need for referrals so everybody has an equal chance. It feels good when your post is featured. I had 3 blogs that were featured. Right now, I'm doing my best to write good blogs so it'll get featured again.
I also have a similar site like redgage. It is called wikinut. You may also upload your blogs and you get money for every view. Try it :) But this one's have referrals. If it is not much of a hassle for you, you may join under me :) Just let me know.

Hi Pierrella, actually Redgage encourages referral too.
I think you get more chances to win the dailycontest.
I keep the Wikinut in mind. Right now I am using Redgage, Xomba and Snipsly for getting links to my blog posts.
I have submitted blogs of others and some interesting blog posts of others to Redgage. I do not think I need to submit just for myself. Just as long as the blogs are featured or their blog posts are featured, I will get the payment. I must admit some of the blog posts are far better than mine.

Thanks so much for linking this article for me from the other one. I am finally beginning to see what you have been talking about for so long. You have successfully taught your pupils well!
Now I have another question for you. I have been thinking of starting a new blog on travel because I write so much about that subject. Do you think it would be worthwhile to create a blog and then link my articles from other sites to the blog and then hook it up with RedGage itself? It seems a little convoluted I know, but I like having all my work in one place, which is why I started the book review blog in the first place, a sort of organizational tool. However, I don't link my reviews to where they first appeared, which seems like it would make more sense.
Am I right or just plain crazy?

haha, I dont mind a big hug from Art, just ask Mommaj to stay away! Otherwise she makes me crazy as well.
I think both of you should do more reading, both in Hubpages and blogs of popular bloggers.
I enjoy Problogger, Grizly (makemoneyforbeginners blogspot dot com), and John Chow. These are the passionate bloggers who started blogging years ago, and grew from 0 traffic until millionaire bloggers.
Just remember to leave comments and link to your blog.
Hubpages classify the number of backlinks in term of the number of stars. Those articles with more incoming links definitely have more traffic from search engines.

I have bookmarked Grizly so I can go back and read all of the beginner posts. What does John Chow blog about? I think you may have mentioned that name before...
