mother's love gone wrong?

being a mother, i cannot question the love of this mother to her son.
what would you do if your son knocks at your door with a bloodstained hands few hours before the cops came to your house and looked for him?
will you hide your son from them or surrender him to the authorities?
personally i don't know how to handle this situation, he maybe a killer or a drug addict or maybe a rapist in the eyes of other people but he is still your son.
can you give him up or not?

if I faced this situation, I will submit to the appropriate authorities. I do this not because I do not love my child. but he must be responsible with what he had done. to hide, will make the child as a coward, and Always haunted by guilt. after he was serving his sentence, he'll realize what he's doing is wrong.
