It's been two and half years since my husband had a raise at work. His company is 'pinching' it's pennies on everything... the rest of the world however, is not! I have rec'vd two raises and I simply nanny.
One of my friends stated that we should just be happy that he has a job, blah, blah, blah.... but c'mon... they haven't even completed a performance review at the very least!
How are things going at where you work? Still feeling the dumpy economy at where you work?

No. I don't have a job but I'm ready for drawing Social Security too ! Ah? if the now present government will let me-----but still the dumpy economy is an enemy in my house!
My husband is retired and it takes every dime to survive.
I don't know what to tell you, but scrimp and try to save cuz it's just going to get worse.

I am lucky and cursed in the same breath. I work for an open company, which means they post all their financial stuff in our canteen. Which is great. But it also shows us that our manager has a budget for 2 full timers and one part timer more than we have at the moment, and he's wandering around complaining that he has people off on maternity leave and has to cover them but then refuses to, leaving the other shifts short staffed. Not good when we are really badly understaffed already. But my own company, the one I run is thriving. We're actually picking up more work than ever. But I didn't get a raise at my corporate job last year but got a decent raise this year.
