How do you feel? Do you think about it everyday? Have you left it behind you?
I was in an accident a few years back, driving... when a motorcycle (large one, racing type) hit my car on the side door... Both the car and the bike went up in the air a few inches?, car rotated some 180 degrees, the biker went over the car... it was instant for him. The bike hit us (my fiance was sitting next to me), in the middle of the 2 doors and a bit to the right. Had it been directly on my door, experts say he would have driven over us... If you see a photo of my car, you will understand why.
I was in hospital and intensive care... 2 months, they didn't tell me about the biker, until after the surgeries... I didn't walk for 6 months, on a bed most of the time.
2,5 years later, I had a surgery to "fix" some things... I am fine right now I think, most of the problems haven't shown up... and I am hoping they don't. Weather changes, too much pressure or too much strength on the leg make me hurt, but I guess it's better than on the other side of this world.
I leave a normal life... but then again, nothing is the same. There are more details that I don't want to bore you with. So I'll get straight to it...
Anyone that had something like this? I can't imagine many different situations, most would be extreme and I'd like to keep crimes out of the discussion of course.
So if you had a similar experience, or someone died because of you, or because you where there, because you did something, then what do you think about? What do you think of every morning? What do you think everytime it hurts or you remember the incident?
I don't want to say what's on my mind yet... I think I am dealing with it, a lot different than other people... I just don't know if I am strong, stupid or black-hearted...

You should be thank full that you and your fiance are ok. What would have been bad, is if your fiance were killed. For a motorcycle to rotated your car some 180 degrees, he must have been traveling at a high rate of speed. We all know the dangers of riding a motorcycle. You chances increase the faster go.
A few years back, me my wife the kids and there friend were coming back from a day of swimming. Traffic was going about 60 to 70mph. There were a group 6 motorcycle riders doing wheelies at that speed. The kids were amazed at these guys doing such a stunt at that speed. I have to admit, so was I.
After a few minutes of the daredevil show for the few drivers that were lucky enough to see, the group took off at a high rate of speed. Twenty minutes later, traffic came to a sudden stop. Turned out that one of the riders fell off his bike and under an onlookers car. He was hit and dragged under the car......There was a trail of blood about 1/2 a mile long.
Like you, I'm sure the driver felt bad......But in your situation, you were hurt. These guys should understand the dangers............

I am responsible for an injury to my older brother a few years ago. Seeing him on the helf like that made me feel like a horrible person. It was an accident, and he knew it.
Still though, I tried to do everything in my power to make the situation right, and help his recovery.
I almost fell into a deep bout of depression over it. Not sure what would have happened if it had been worst than that.
