I have been using my real name on all of my writing since I began freelancing, but I am getting more serious about my work and am considering using a pen name from now on.
Do any of you writers out there use pen names? How did you choose one? I am thinking of using a name that has the same initials as my real name, and some sort of meaning to me, but I also want it to be easy to pronounce and have a good beat!

yes, I used pen name to maintain anonymity. But I only use one name. It is just a rumble letters of my real name.

Not all the time. If what I'm writing about is personal, or autobiographical - I never use a nom de plume. I want my readers to know who I am and that I have no secrets. However, if I'm writing 100% pure fiction, creative writing, misc. et al - yes. I have a pen name so if anyone I I love may be ashamed of my writing style it won't have a negative impact on them.

Yes, at the moment I am using a pen name. I am just getting started in online writing though, so I haven't really decided what I want to do in the long run. I like it when people use their real names, but I am not sure I am ready for it just yet!
