Can you sleep when there is a view of white shirt or dress hanging on?

Hi friends! In my case, when I am about to sleep and I can see a white shirt hanging on, I will get it out and put in a place where I can't already see it. For me, I just feel like there's a person looking at me whenever I can see a white shirt while I am about to sleep and it is uncomfortable. I often sleep with the lights turn-off and you know that even in the dark, a white shirt can still be seen. How about you, do you have the same feeling as me? Can you sleep when there is a view of white shirt or dress hanging on? I would be glad to hear from you. Have a great day and happy myLotting! :)

I am the same way. If I see anything white or clothing that stands up, I will move it. Because when I will wake up out of my sleep, it looks just like someone standing there. I will be freaked out! I do the same thing. I am very uncomfortable with clothes laying around. It looks creepy in the dark.

Hi cream! I'm glad that I'm not the only one here having the same perception. Yes, white shirts are just so uncomfortable to see in the dark, as it seems like there's someone looking at us. Lol! Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

Hi becky! It's just so uncomfortable when someone is looking at us when we are sleeping, and that's how I feel whenever I see that white shirt over there. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I don't have this problem as i hang all my clothes in the bathroom.I switch off the lights to go off into the land of the nod.Once i switch off the lights i hardly notice anything in the room.Since all my clothes are in the bathroom and i sleep in the bedroom this problem you've mentioned doesn't effect me.

Hi picjim! You have a good practice to keep all your clothes in the bathroom. You won't really feel what I have felt. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

Hi No problem with me - what you probably feel is that there is a 'ghost' or something though you have not mentioned it!!! But all the same don't worry about such thin gs and sleep peacefully.

Hi udayrao! Actually I just feel uncomfortable to see it in the dark. That's why I won't really allow it to stay there, for me to get a peaceful sleep. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I sleep with the lights on so even if there are white shirts in the room, I woudn't be frightened by it. However, when I was young (where it was always lights off as per Mom's rule), I was so afraid of ghosts so I was afraid to look out the windows at night especially that my imagination during those times were vivid. I remember I sleep under the covers even though it's hot hahaha.

Hi manubla! Yes we will not worry about white shirts when the lights is on. Open window is quite uncomfortable also sometimes when you are looking at it at night. Hahaha, I agree I also did that when I was a kid, covering the blanket on me so that I can't see anything. Lol! Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I think you are being racist!! You wouldn't be frightened if it was a black shirt!! haha

Hi smacksman! I can't be able to see it if it's black so nothing to worry. White is still visible in the dark, and it's unusual to see something light in the dark. That's the reason why. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I don't think I have a problem sleeping with some white apparel in front of my bed. What I could not stand is having even a dim light in the bedroom. The room must in total darkness. But I can understand your concern especially when we're tired or our brains are too worked up and we really need a good rest. Having something that draws your attention while you tries hard to sleep is frustrating. Thus I think it depends on the state of the mind, if I'm in a traumatic situation, having a piece of apparel in front of my bed that looks like a person watching can be quite scary.

harold my question is why on earth are you or anyone else having a white shirt or white dress hanging from what in a bedroom? surely shirts and dresses should be on hangers and hung in one's closet? so the answer is hang up your clothes, and put a cork in your vivid imagination, then go to sleep. I do not have any garments just hanging around they are either hung up in the closet or else folded neatly and store in my bureau drawers. so thats the answer to your problem. put them all away then listen to some soothing music and go to sleep.

Hi hatley! Yes, I agree with you that there should be no shirt hanging around the bedroom, but there's a place there where I can hang on the shirts and it's still visible to my eyes. Well you have a good practice and I should do that to. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

hi harold anything white will distract most people I think and when you are really sleepy its easy to let your imagination get the best of you which can make you unsleepy real quick. lol.

I have never really thought about this before. i don't think it would bother me to have something white hanging where i could see it. i don't think it would interrupt my sleep.

Hi sender! It's good that it can't affect your sleep. So if you will experience it someday, you can still able to sleep well. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

Wonder who was visisting you last night sweetie? Just ask that one not to wear white, it can be damn scary, when you want to sleep. PS: We normally use cupboards to hang shirts in. TATA.

Hi saph! Yes, of all the colors, why have he/she chosen white. Lol! It doesn't match the night where supposed to be no light. :) Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

It scares me, too! I don't go to the extent of taking the shirt and folding it though. What I do is just close my eyes and try to forget about it by daydreaming or imagining other pleasant things. It would be more scary if I am alone in the room. I have a creative imagination and my mind imagines utterly spooky things out of little things like that shirt haha. It just wouldn't make me sleep so I try to rub it off my mind.

Hi mj! Haha, I guess you are more affected than me. Lol! Yes, it's really disgusting to see a white shirt in the middle of the dark, it's really hard to sleep. So before we sleep, or before we turn off the lights, we should make it sure that there's no white shirt hanging around. Lol! Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

Hi Harold, Good day! Same thing here. You're not alone on this one. I also feel uncomfortable when a white shirt, a dress and even a mirror is hanging somewhere I can see it. It makes me feel as if someone is watching me while I'm sleeping or that I'm not alone in the room.
@Harold_ks (1673)

Hi ladyslipper! It's good that you feel the same way about it. Yes, it feels like there's someone looking at us and it will really be uncomfortable to sleep in that situation. Thank you for responding and have a great day! :)

I don't mind seeing a white shirt hanging in front of me before I go to sleep because unlike you, I don't turn off the lights, so the shirt wouldn't look like someone standing in front of me. I know that I use up more electricity when I don't turn off the lights, but I really hate it when bugs and other disgusting creatures come near me, and this mostly happens when it's dark.

Woo scary. No I can't sleep. Whenever there are hanging shirts as long as my eyes could see it, I put it off. Imaginations keep running through my head if I don't.

It doesn't really bother me. I sleep with the lights off so I don't really pay attention to my surroundings, I don't usually wait for my eyes to adjust to the dark. But in days that I do, justas long as the shirt's not moving, then I'm cool with it. :)
