Have you ever grown a new AZALEA by rooting a piece of a bush?

My students performed in their spring piano recital on Saturday; and we had sprigs of azalea bushes there to decorate our tables for the reception afterwards. I cut some pieces of my bright pink bush at my house; and my Mom cut some sprigs of light pink bushes at her house. I put a light pink sprig in a vase with water on Saturday, hoping I might grow some roots on it. I haven't seen anything as of yet. Maybe it's too soon, though. Has any of you ever had any success with rooting a piece from an azalea bush? Do you have any tips for me on how to do this? Is it hard to do? Are they very finicky? Thanks for any tips/help you might have for me! ~artsyfartsygal, aka, thepianoladie : ) P.S. Happy Spring! Happy Gardening! : )
