the most unique thing about this country is the way people will pass their fare in the jeepneys. where one can just say "pakisuyo po", "bayad po" and the one in front of you will get your money and pass it along till it reaches the driver.
Can't remember any other country doing this one but i maybe wrong.
but this thing happens everyday and this make my smile a little bit.
uhmm balut is a spanish delicacy, brought by spain to this country i maybe wrong

ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES can you find saluyot, katiw and other vegetables that looks so much like common grass but is actually very delicious and nutritious! YUM!
Saluyot are leaves that are slimy when you ate. Their sliminess is similar to the okra but it is very nutritious because it's a green leafy vegetable. It proliferates during rainy season and is very popular with Ilocanos.
Katiw is also a green leafy veggie that looks like the leaf of a tamarind.
Both vegetable are used in diningding (or bulanglang if you're tagalog) together with bangus (milkfish) and labong (bamboo shoot.)
For Ilocanos, this dish marks the arrival of the rainy seasons (because these vegetables grow during that time.)

Hi there Acey!
There are lots of things that we can be proud of as a Filipino. One would be our hospitality and how we never fail to smile or laugh even though we have a big problem or have something to worry about. I believe that we, Filipino are naturally cheerful people. I am also proud of the beautiful tourists spots that we have like the Boracay and Jawili beaches, the Rice Terraces, Chocolate Hills, just to name a few.

The notorious place called Quiapo really amuses me of all the illegalities going on in there. It used to be a scary place to me until I got used to it and now I don't mind walking alone on its streets at night, LoL, I just keep my head up, I don't look back at people staring at me, and just keep on walking.
