Passing Your time.....What do you do?

How do you pass your time while waiting your turn for a doctor's or dentist's appointment or riding public transport to work or whatever? I like SUDOKU. I have always been fascinated by numbers so the new passtime fits me live a glove. At first I used a pencil because I made so many mistakes by now that I've got the hang of it I use ball point pen. Should you decide to try it may I suggest you start at level one until you find it boring and then move on. Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to move up to level 4. This message will destruct in 6 seconds so get with the program.

I do one of two things: either work a crossword puzzle or read a book. I always carry a book with me wherever I go and read a page or two every chance I get. Maybe one way I'll learn how to do the Sudoku puzzles. I've got a good friend that just loves them. (There you go with Mission Impossible again...got me laughing, too)

*should have been "one day, not one way". My fingers and brain don't work together well this late at night.

I used to love sudoku! Then even level 4 got boring (I'm not saying I would solve it within seconds, I just mean I didn't even WANT to solve it anymore). I have to take a 45 min - 1 hour train ride to school and the same from school every day, so I have a lot of time to kill. I love crossword puzzles. My friend got me one of those daily desk calendars with a puzzle for every day, so I just grab a few and stick them in my bag before I leave every day. I love to write, too, and the train's a perfect place to do so. I have no excuse not to, no distractions, and nothing else to do. It's GREAT for NaNoWriMo, because I get my daily writing donw that way.

Thanks for your comment. My intention was to find out how you spend your time while you are waiting not what you do in your spare time....there is a difference.

I appreciate your answer but I have a feeling that either I didn't make myself clear or that you missed the point. We often times find ourselves waiting in a dentist's office, or a doctor's hours and spend more time than we expected. It is boring to have to just sit there and wait. It is better to do something and it will help pass the time much quicker.

I like to read audiobooks to pass the time. They're quite interesting and fun to read. I also enjoy games but do not tend to have as much time to play games, since it's harder to play a game and do something else at the same time (unless of course, I am sitting in an extremely boring lecture where a game is the only thing that will keep me awake).

Okay....I'll go along with that.....but I always got reprimanded when I did something during class that was not allowed. Must be that school days have changed since i went to school. Appreciate your input.

Any appointments I go to I always bring a book along. There have been times that I have not gotten in when my appointment time is supposed to be. It doesn't bother me since I love to read and this is how I spend my time while waiting to be called in to the doctor's or dentist's appointment.
