Can you believe anyone in the media?

I am getting sick of hearing nothing but lies on the TV news. Yesterday, in Athens, three persons died in the riots. Very sad but was it true? A petrol bomb was thrown into a bank. This is where common sense should click in! Can you throw anything into a bank? No, they have bullet proof windows and double doors. If three people did die inside the bank, we should be asking how, and who killed them. What do you think?

The news reporter a la CNN was safely on the roof of a luxury hotel viewing through a very long telephoto lens. I wish they were on the ground to see things correctly.

I think the media, sometimes, can overstretch the "truth" in a story, in order to make it interesting. You are true, that we should use common sense when we hear or view news through the media. If a story is too good to be true, then don't believe straight away. Do Your research on the news, right after you view it. I think, that way, we can really know if a story is true or not.

Nope, I can't believe anything on the media. I still watch it for critical thinking though. Best is to go figure things out myself.

Well, here there are news teams that're really credible. My cousin worked under that company so i know they provide credible news. You may be thinking way too much of this too.

You have to take the information in the media with a grain of salt. You have to pick and choose which iems of information are true, and which are sensationalized.
