Here in the Philippines, we will celebrate the Mother's Day this coming Sunday, May 9, 2010 to be exact. Being the youngest child of my parents, i am really a papa and mama's girl during my childhood days but as i grew older, i became much closer to my mom. For me, she's the best mother in the whole wide world, even if she's not perfect i considered her as a wonder mom that was really fitted to be called as "MOTHER".
I love her so dearly and i will never ever forget what she had done for us being a single parent but still raised us up without a feeling of insecurity to those who have an intact family. Sounds corny as it may seem to others but if i have to choose again who would i wanted to be my mother, i will choose her again without thinking twice... I love you my nanay i do hope that you're happy up there in the arms of our almighty father, i love you so so much...
I would love to hear from you my dearest myLOtters, kindly share your thoughts regarding this discussion of mine, and to all my fellow mother myLotters "Happy happy mother's day to all of us!"...

Hmmm...no, I don't think my mother's the best in the world. I think I'm better. LOL kidding! Well I think nobody's perfect, and I'm sure every good mother out there just simply tries to do her best, and does what she thinks is best for her kids. My mom and I have always had a love-hate relationship. But I guess the reason why God has given her to me is because he wants me to learn from her. And I have learned many things from my mother. Bottom line is, I love her anyway. She's my mother and always will be. Nothing can change that. We may fight and argue and not talk for weeks every now and then --- but at the end of the day, it's only the good stuff that we remember about each other.

Hi kquiming! what a lovely tandem you've got! hahaha! are you a mother already? no kidding? you look so young... I like you for being so honest, relating to me what's the real score between you and your mom. Misunderstandings between mother and daughter was just natural as night and day, whats important was you have this respect and love for each other and im sure that it will stay that way forever. Happy mother's Day!" and all the best!

No I seriously doubt she could get that title. She left my father, myself and my little brother when I was 5 years old and I never saw her again until I was sixteen. During the 11 years she was gone I suffered a horrible childhood under a housekeeper who hated me but thank goodness loved my little brother.
I am lucky that my daughter and my son-in-law thinks I am the best Mom in the world

yeah, i am pretty sure she is... i could not find another mom like her who can build a house..
yes, my mom is a carpenter and i am proud to say, even if she wasnt able to pursue a degree, that my mom is an engineer in herself..
i could really forget the times when i was in high school and were build our new house.. we were setting the hollowblocks cutting and setting the bars... hmmm
that is why i am now taking BS Civil Engineering.. aside from the fact that i like it, i am sure this is the course my mom would have been taken,,,,

Hello markleob! May i share with you a text message ive got from a friend last year when she greeted me last mother's day. " It takes a thousand of workers to build a castle, a million soldiers to protect its country, but only takes 1 woman to build a happy home." Your mom was great that she's not only building a home but a real house!. I understand why you're so proud of her and you follow her footsteps in being an engineer. I believe that your mom was an engineer too because she certeinly could do the engineer's job even though that she didn't pursue a degree. Happy mothers day to your mom and good luck to your studies!

no doubt. she raised me alone..yuph..you heard it right. i often give my mom extra credits for that. being a single parent of three is not a joke. me and my sister are both in college at the moment. and as a commission on my moms hard works, im doing this job. its a bit complicated for me whenever they have arguments with my older sister. i wanted my sister to value my mom for the hard times she gone trough simply because of us but i yes my sister won't fully understand until the time she she'll have her own family .and being the mom the never had appreciated.

Hello jacquiline! I admire you for being a good daughter to your mother. Its really hard to be a mother. I just got a text message i would like to share with you which i received a couple of hours ago and it says that" "Motherhood is a tough 24 hour job; no pay, no day off, most often unappreciated and yet resignation is impossible". Thankfully, you are the kind that values your mother like that, be there for your mom and your siblings especially with your sister and try to make her understand why you should at least limit the burdens that your mom carries even harder because she's raising you all 3 all alone. Good luck to you, study hard always, its for you believe me and happy mother's day to your great mom!

When I was little I felt such a close bond with my mother but it wasent even something that was because she was the best mom in the whole world it was just how I felt I should feel I guess. Looking back my mother favored my sister and I hated it. She belittled us a lot and when we got in our teens she expected us to be friends with who she wanted us to be friends with even if those kids didnt want to be our friends she just didnt get it. Then she wanted us to date the boys she thought we should be dating regardless of the fact that they didnt want to date us. I had a lot of mental issues and she just never understood it. I have no idea what my plans for mothers day are. I think I get the whole day to spend with my kids but I'm not sure. For mothers day I feel I should get a whole day to spend with them so maybe my ex can take the kids the day before a full day so that way he wont mind me having them all day on mothers day.

Hi there shaggin, i understand you for feeling that way towards your mother. You might have an unresolved issues which the two of you could only resolved. Do you mind talking with her and pour out all your sentiments? Im sure, with a good heart to heart talk with her, you might just be closer to each other like mother and daughter should be. Being a mother yourself, now will be the exact time that you will feel what it is to become a "mother" to your kids. Try to talk to her at least okay? Happy happy mothers day to you! good luck and take the best of care...

Hey that's really nice to know how much you love your mother. Always try and give her the best. Mothers are the best. And they do deserve the best from you. Even I love my mother. She is a wonder woman for me. I have been more closer to her than my dad. And I always try to give her the best possible happiness. She has sacrificed a lot of things in life for my sake. I want to give her peace of mind and happiness.

Hello there smartjack! Your mother must be proud of you because of what you've done for her. That's really nice of you to show how much you love her. Just continue doing great things for her and im sure that you will keep her happy. Mothers was really like that, they tend to sacrifice their own happiness just for the sake of her children. Her love was pure and endless that's why your mother truly deserves what you've shown her in return. Good luck and Happy mothers day to your mother!

Hi vycess! wow mother's day and birthday of your mom was just two days apart. Your mom will surely be happy when you gave her your greetings and your gifts for her as well. Being a mother myself, anything that my child gave to me was very pleasant to my heart already even if its just a piece of paper with a simple note written on it. I am glad that you understand why your parents cared for you so much. You will become a mother too in the future and from there, you will know that your parents was right for making you safe all the time. I know that you knew this already vycess so keep it up okay? God bless and stay happy!

hey jinjer! We'll never really realized the importance of our mother until we became one. We are soulmates. I believe i got my stubbornness from her!
I don't know how to reciprocate everything she has done to me and to our family. I hope the Lord will lend her life to us for more and more years.
happy mom's day too jinjer!

Hi there ersanmiguel! Yes you are so right for saying that, we can never really realized the importance of our mother until we became one. True enough, her endless love and care for her family especially with her children was so selfless that we appreciate them more when we have our own child to take care of. Just be a good daughter to your mother and always be there for her and for sure she will be happy enough for that. Don't stop praying for her good health God will surely listen. HAppy mothers day to all of us! Take care always!

Whatever our parents are they are the people who gave us life.My parents are in fact not the most perfect ones as they think they are just because they give me and my brother enough money till we study.I don't want these money as I work fro time to time and save as much as I can.I just want some conversations..But no matter I don't hope for these conversations amy more. They are just my parents.

Hello there mokkka! Yes it is, our parents were the people who gave us life. Any one of us didn't have the power to choose who's gonna be our parents here on earth that's why i could consider someone very lucky if they have a wonderful and loving parents. But if in case that some one was born without something good to say about their parents, be thankful still for you've got a chance to live and experience life because of them. I do hope that you will soon got the chance to talk with your parents to settle things up mokkka. I wish you the very best and good luck to all aspects of your life...

umm I am quite that opposite.. I will be spending mother's day praying that my mother gets help.. She is no where near the best in the world in my eyes... I can't call her on mother's day because all that will do is make her think that I am going to help her out of this situation she got herself into.. and by doing that I will only be enabling her and I can't do that..

Yes of course, i do believe that my mom is the best mother in the world. We may have different attitudes of mothers but for each one of us our mother's is the best for us. Its because they're the one that's always there for us. Problems comes along the way mother's is always in our side supporting us. I love you mom. Happy mother's day.

Hello jologs07! Few men are expressive enough to say how much they love their mothers. It's good that you have this guts to say it to your mom which is just right thinking how they shower us with their love and care ever since. Mothers was really like that, they have the purest love and unending perseverance for her children and much much more. Friends may come and go but whenever we are in life's ups and even down's, there's this one person who will surely be there for us come what may, and that is our mothers. Happy mother's day to your mom and stay good for her. Good luck!
