What reasons do you have for wanting to visit Egypt? If you've already been there what were your favorite things about Egypt?
I have wanted to visit since I was a young child and studied Ancient Egypt in school. At a young age you don't get very indepth with the history, but as I've gotten older I have studied it a lot more (in high school and college). I just love the rich history and I would love to be able to see the pyramids with my own eyes, not just in pictures. It seems like it'd be interesting just visiting and exploring the culture like their arts.

In the future I would love to visit Egypt. I have already seen the pyramids from a plane window and that was wonderful. I would like to see the pyramids from ground level next time. I would enjoy going on a traditional sailing boat down the River Nile. I would be fascinated to see the historical sites. I would like to go snorkeling at the Red Sea. I think I would have some lovely sunny days there. The culture would be excellent to find out about.

This has actually always been a dream of mine. I love archeology. I have studied it gone to school done local digs etc. since I was 10 or so. Egypt is the ultimate archaeology site. The preservation of history there is unprecedented.

Hi there Kel 143!
Well, one reason would be to see the things and places that I have only read about on books and magazines and also to see the places that I only saw in movies and TV shows.

When I was younger I found Ancient Egypt fashinating, the Pharaohs, the Gods, and I did spend a fair amount of my freetime reading up on it. Ofc, as most youths, I got the influence from TV, watching Stargate SG-1 :P
And yeah, I'd say the Pyramids would also be my number One reason to visit Egypt, just to witness them with my own eyes, stand at the foot of a Pyramid, watching up at the magnificence of what truly is a masterpiece. Just trying to imagine the place as it was being built, in your mind, gives you all the more respect to the Pyramids.
Also a boatride on the Nile would be great, slowly drifting forward on the river as the sun sets would be a great experience

Yes, tv and the movies really influence people's thoughts on Egypt, especially as kids. I always remember cartoons and stuff where mummies come to life haha. The thought of how the pyramids were built without modern technology is so cool and I think it would be really impressive to think about that while standing there in front of them.
A boat ride along the Nile would be so cool.

To see the pyramids and the sphinx.
To visit historical places in Luxor and Aswan.
To enjoy the beach in Sharm Elsaikh and Alexandria.
To pay not a lot money comparing to countries in the same level.

I am fan of Egypt already couple of years. And I didnĀ“t visit Egypt yet. I would like to do it very soon. As u r writing for me its awesome country, rich for architecture, history, culture. Also egyptian people are different than the people in country i live. I would like to discover every corner of this country. From north to south. The nature there is also beautiful. River Nile, desert, oasis... Traditional music, modern music, ... etc. there are many reasons why i am fan of Egypt and i could talk about it a long time :)
