Favorite Quake 3 Area weapon?

Quake 3 Arena is still one of my favorite first person shooters of all time. I can't get enough of Deathmatch, and Capture The Flag. One of my favorite weapons in the core game is the Plasma Gun.It's a nice little weapon for mid range shootouts, but anyone with a low ping and a Lightning gun at long range can seriously mess you up. I was reminded of this when I fired up the game yesterday, and got slaughtered by somebody with a much better connection than me. What's you're favorite Quake 3 weapon?
