As I am also a woman I know we all try different diets from time to time.I personally have big problems with giving up some foods so I stopped trying with diets and rely mainly on sport. How often do you try new diets and do they have some result to you?

My idea of a diet is cutting back on calories and junk foods and exercising more. As far as that sort of dieting goes I've tried it thousands of times in my life, sometimes with success, sometimes no success. As far as "Try this product to lose weight" I've only ever done that once, and that was Slim Fast. I did that shortly after my twins were born, and I lost about 20 pounds. Unfortunately my downfall is always my first cheat. I get to a point where I just need to indulge in something that is otherwise forbidden on a diet.. and once I do indulge I just can't seem to get back on track. That's how I blew the Slim Fast diet.. and gained all the weight back and then some. This time around things have been different. I started my "diet" the end of October. My first big cheat was in December at my husband's company Christmas party. The next day was difficult to get back on the diet, and we did end up going out to a burger place for dinner and I got a nasty, greasy burger with cheese fries and the whole 9 yards. So Gross!! What got me back on track was all the compliments I got from hubby's coworkers at the party.. plus how they all knew I was trying to lose weight, so going backwards and gaining weight would have been a bad idea, because they were all expecting me to get skinnier. I picked up the pieces and got back on track. All in all I've lost 70 pounds and am very close to my goal weight! But I do not plan on ever "going off the diet". It's not really a diet anymore, it's a lifestyle change, and I've gotten it to a point where I can live with it, because I indulge frequently.. I just have smaller portions of the foods I choose to indulge in.

I also tried diets sometimes, but afterwards i realized it hurts my health,i stopped it,and i think low-calorie foods can help with weight-losing.Last month,I carried my weight-losing plan, just eat no fried, bake, fatty food, such as french fries, barbecue, cakes, icecream and so on,mainly eat fruits, vegetables, fish, chickenan, soup and so on,also cooking methods can bring different calories to foods,e.g. the calories of boiled potatoes are so different from them fried, the later is much higher than the former. and i practiced Yoga three times a week, finally i lost 9 pounds last month. personally i think it is the most effective way of losing weight, exercise and low-calorie foods. What do you think?

Hi Mokkka! I'm done with diets! I'm changing my life now. It's a lot harder than a diet, but it sticks! I've not given up anything that I didn't do wililngly and that isn't good for me anyway. I have a discussion about my struggle to loose 25 pounds by the end of this year. You can read how I've been doing this. i don't believe in diets... but lifestyle with a new diet of food. I hope this helps. I've kept 13 pounds off since January. It's not much, but it's a start and it hasn't come back! Bear

Count the calories as you eat. It’s a good idea to have an idea of the calories that most food items have. If it is a packed thing then the label is sure to have the calories that the substance has.
