Am I the only one that notices the rudeness in people that mylot brings out for the craving of minuscule amounts of money and points. There is usually good advice given in referring to the FAQ in a ridiculing, snobbish kind of way. What does everyone think of this or my looking to much into mylot users interaction?

Hi and welcome to mylot! After a while posting at mylot, you will see that there are all sorts of people. Some will be nearer you and some you will not want to mix with too much. But it is your choice whether you answer a post or not, and whether you make a comment on the answer. Everywhere in the world, according to my experience, there are much more nice people than rude people. And are you sure that you were answered that way? Maybe it wasn´t meant to hurt your feelings. I have found many nice people here. With some of them I have now a real friendship. That couldnt have been posible without mylot as one of my close friends lives in the US and the other in Scotland. I, myself, live in Chile. Isn´t that a miracle? And we dont talk to each other to have more points or cents: I come to mylot to have company. Take care!

seventytwo I really do not know how to answer this as I am a tad angry here as I think you are aiming this at me, well I do not know how to put links on here when I try to help newcomers that just kept making errors in making discussions as they refuse to read the information. It is not at all snobbish, I had to learn to read all the information, and its not that hard to do, and as for ridiculing what would you think it a lot of newcomers were told repeatedly to read the rules and learn them and they tell you thats a bore, would you not get a little irritated, you see we older users lose points when we even bother to try to help people who seem to not want to read that information but have it given to them by us older ones by writing pages of info that would be much easier for all concerned to just read it for themselves. I am not ridiculing anyone or being snobbish at all. also I make very good money on mylot as I did read the rules and have obeyed them,is that something horrible? I think not. also I am elderly and in order to keep on the net I work here to earn enough money to pay my internet bill each month, I am on social security and ssi and in a retirement center that takes most of what I get so to me that amount is a big help, its not craving for minuscule amounts of money at all. I am not rude, I am blunt and to the point as I want people to not keep having their discussions deleted when its so easy to read and learn the rules.Look if I at 83 can read the rules and make discussions that are not ever deleted, then it should be a cinch for younger users.
