What's the best Final Fantasy for you?

well..from the series..7,8,9,10,10-2 are the best..actually ff8 is the first final fantasy that I saw..I think the greatest of them is ff10..good graphics,storyline and everything..2nd is ff7(my personal favorite of them all)..and then..ff8..then ff9... :))

i first played ff8 and its great.. but i think ff10 is more interesting.. try it.. :)

Final Fantasy 8 in my opinion is probably the best due to the story being quite epic and had a darker feel to it. Also i think you get a feeling of purpose once you actually gain control of balamb garden (almost the illusion of commanding your own nation). Also the aspect of being able to draw magis rather than mucking around with MP. Ever since 8, FF has become quite cartoony and bubbly. Even when the world in FF10 is depicted as being at the mercy of the creature SIN, the environment is way too colourful and loses the atmosphere the creators of the game were striving to achive. Though in saying that, I really enjoyed 10

I would agree with you! I like final fantasy 8 the most. First, of the character's limit breaks (It is simple and interactive and Lionheart is sooo powerful!). Second is the Card system. Being a fan of CCGs like magic cards, I really like collecting those rare cards. Finally, I like their airship "the Ragnarok". (the coolest airship in the whole FF series) Storywise though, I would go for final fantasy 7. Battle sequence, I will give it for Final fantasy 12. Best minigame, uhh.. I like Final Fantasy 10's blitzball. But overall, Final Fantasy 8 is closest to my heart.

Sorry if I'm 12 months late. I didn't want to double post this topic. I for one love final fantasy 8 because it was set in a more futuristic world than the other final fantasies. I already played 5, 6, 7 (still playin on my psp), 8 ,9, 10, 10-2, and 12.The best one so far for me was and will forever be 8. Its not because most of the girls are hot (Quistis,Selfie,and Rinoa), its because how they made each other significant in the story. Like when they met Irvine, or how Zell and Squall became friends. It was just a story that you can immerse yourself in. I played more than 99 hours on that game. And I think I would be playing it again sometime soon just for nostalgia's sake.

Me too! Maybe it being my first ever FF experience helped. I'd much prefer Squall to be with Instructor Trepe. I was a tad disappointed with 9, and agree with the previous poster that it has become cartoon-ish. I have played other versions too but this has a special place in my heart. I loved FF Tactics too. Superbly satisfying game to finish.

The best Final Fantasy game for me is Final Fantasy VII. I think it has more of the epic feel for a console game. It also has more characters involved in it and each has their own unique storyline. The summons are also great, especially my personal favorite - The Knights of the Round.

My favorite is FF7 by far, the characters and storyline are definitely top notch. The gameplay is amazing and the minigames are actually fun. I've played through FF7 at least 5 times, every now and then I get the urge to play it again.

It's so hard to choose which one is the best. Between final fantasy 13 and 10, it's a touch choice.. ehh... I guess I will have to go with 10, the story line was better and the ability to run around on a world map to visit places was cool. I wish squaresoft could continue to create the other final fantasies like this. Lets see how FF13 versus behaves..

I like Final Fantasy 10. The game is long and the story is good. Perfect game

For me it's FFDissidia one of the characters i like is Squall Leonheart and Cloud Strife

I think the opening sequence for 8 is the best opening of any game I have ever played. The battle system was too slow for me though. My favorite is 7 then 6 then 1,4,8,9,10,and 12 are all about the same, I liked them all. . . a lot, but 7 is by far my favorite.

Well I like all of the Final Fantasy games. They are all so enjoying that i can't play less than 3 hours a day. I like XII and X the most. These 2 games are awesome in 1 word. Rather than the epic story these games also have a awesome sound and special effect with enourmous adventure. These 2 games are the most best FF games forever!

I played FF7 and FF10 only. I would say FF10. Great story, great graphics. It's a true role playing game. Played it a couple of times. It's like watching a movie as well. Some twists and love story thrown as well.

Final Fantasy 8 is widely regarded as the worst Final Fantasy ever. I personally hated it enough to not play through. FF7 and FF9 are both much better. Even some of the older ones are better than 8. To each their own I gues.

I play almost all Final Fantasy for PS1 about 5 - 6 years ago. I think, FF IX much better. The story line, grafic, and animation was really good. I like this FF 9 more then other, even FF 12 for PS2.

I think every final fantasy series are great!!!!!! Every FF series have their own unique storyline and characters as well as sequencing...but I think FF with great voice actors such as the FF12 is perfect

I agree FF8 was an amazing game for concept, gameplay and storyline however you really should check out final fantasy 10, it incorporates the love theme really nicely with a gripping storyline and it also has heartbreakingly good graphics and maps.

I love FF8 too. It was the first FF(final fantasy) I ever played. If you try to compare it to other FF like the 7 or 9, it FF8 has a different format. My favorite group for beating up Ultimecia is Squall, Irvine and Rinoa. I still am wondering if they will do a re-release of this in better quality graphics without changing the storyline. So far, the best for me is final fantasy 8. Final fantasy has a better storyline but it has a sad twist to it as one character has to die in the story.
