No Pokwang or any big time actor could replace him... Arrogant, disgusting, bad Willie... That's who he is and that makes him an individual... We myLotters here is just only a small 'voice' that we do not like Willie... Considering we are in a middle class category... Willie helps many poor Filipinos...
Did you watch all of Willie's speech the other day about Joebert Sucaldito? He said "tirahin mo na lang ako wag ang mga contestants ko... Bobo man o nde... Basurero nga nde nga nakapag-aral nde marunong magbasa at magsulat contestant ko d2...un pa kayang nakapag aral kahit pasang awa?..." That's what I think he said...
I think he has a point there...
Anywhere I go, mostly I find families watching Wowowee in their afternoon siestas... At first, I don't like Wowowee...so very ‘baduy’..’pangmasa’ ..But then later on... Willie of Fortune made me laugh...made me cry... The audience/contestants are the 'bida' in this noontime TV show... Different characters to meet and we could relate to their stories...
Hate him or not... The world of noontime TV shows will never be the same again without Willie...

I actually don't think that his way of helping the poor is appropriate. It makes the poor appear like desperate people, when it shouldn't be like that. He's like a psycho who taunts the poor people with money and tempts them with it. It's like the poor people get hypnotized, and believe that Willie is a god. Actually, most of the money given away are from ABS-CBN, not from Willie's pocket.

I know Willie didn't also want that to happen, who would right? Just like when driving, you wouldn't want to run over someone, but if you drive carelessly and run over someone, there's nothing you can do. Even though you didn't want that to happen.
And I already stated the cause in my previous comment. Please analyze and read :)
AND I didn't say that it was Willie's fault, please oh please read my comment. I didn't know if it was Willie who did that or some other Wowowee guy, but that's what triggered the stampede.
Well yeah, the poor needs money, but taking advantage of their need isn't right. If you don't get what I'm trying then nevermind, there's no use explaining then. :P
I didn't judge Willie in my previous comment. Please read thoroughly and analyze. Thanks ;)

but do you that willie liked that to happen..
and also do you think that many people would go their if their not poor..
if poverty is not the cause then what??
they need money because they're poor and its not willie fault..
i really dont like willie but its unfair to judge him without knowing him that much..
peace,, :)
just sharing my ideas.. :)

I am not a big fan of Wowowee or Willie for that matter but I've seen how the show has caused a lot of happiness to a lot of people. After all, it's not an issue if I enjoy it or not. It's about how many out there actually find joy in watching the show, and the show has become a part of their afternoon lives.

Honestly, the humor in the Eat Bulaga show appeals more to me than the humor in Wowowee, although of course there have been really funny moments there from some of the contestants, or the hosts. But really, I couldn't remember myself holding my tummy laughing with wowowee.
But then, that's besides the point. I do appreciate the show for what it's for. And yes, it will not be the same w/o Willie. But I don't believe he will leave the show.

One of my neighbor always watch Eat Bulaga in the afternoon and from there through the whole day, only channel 7... And now, I couldn't remember when was the time since she started watching Wowowee...
Now its her routine everyday that she watch Wowowee... Most of the time I heard her laugh compared to when she was watching Eat Bulaga... And many times I saw her cry too...
Yes, Willie is just only the main man and the audience/contestants run the show... There are many people out there find joy in watching the show and were used to see Willie host the show and as Kenites said..."The Wowowee is a show that was made and design for Willie"...

Well he may have some influence over the stations in terms of the money he earns for the station but I think he still is a talent and is being paid by the station so he cannot just demand something that is out of his control. Asking the management to have one of their talents be removed is a different scenario, it is a matter of labor case and I think it would be hard for management to just fire Joe for doing his job, management can somehow discipline anyone of them but firing would make grave consequences if they do that. Mr. Sucaldito can sue the station for it if not done properly. So I guess Willie threatening the whole station is I think also wrong at some point. His arrogance doesn't work for me and do not justify his being able to help the poor.

I don't like Willie that's why I'm not watching his show because for me I don't like the idea of making there contestants crying and making fun of them. I don't know about his issue right now because I don't watch his show. There are many issues and controversies about Willie's attitude even before.

I think everything would be better without Willie.
I have nothing against the contestants, and such. What I hate is WILLIE. He embarrasses his contestants, makes fun of them, fools them, tricks them, takes advantage of their unfortunate situation, etc.
Actually, I don't like Wowowee and Willie, at all. The system of Wowowee is very degrading. If you happen to notice, those who are rich can get in without waiting in line. They just present their TFC subscription thingy, and they get instant seats on the "courtside" part. On the other hand, those who are poor wait long hours in line, some even stay overnight just so they can get in the next day. And then they are seated far from the center, and usually at the upper side. Those who are rich are given more priority over those who are poor. It's like a form of discrimination.
Anyway, back to Willie. I really don't like him. He's too much of a hypocrite, and he seems plastic. I actually agree with what the Joebort guy said, that "Willie has the freedom to disagree or get mad if the media or news does anything that he doesn't like (just like the Cory thingy, I guess), BUT we can't criticize him." (rephrased)
Everything he says seems like B*ll$ht. Like what you posted, he said that "we should just criticize him and not his contestants". AS IF. When someone criticizes him, he immediately emotes, and makes a speech in his show, and sheds crocodile tears. It's getting old!
I can't wait for the day that Willie gets out of the business. Everything will definitely not be the same. Everything will be BETTER. No more Willie who embarrasses contestants, no more Willie who always pulls hurtful "jokes", no more Willie who lipsyncs everyday, no more Willie who seems to think of himself as a god, no more Willie to take advantage of the poor people's needs, no more Willie that makes a fool out of the audience, no more Willie. Period.

I really feel base from your words here that you really hate Willie... Well, then it will still depends to a lot of millions of Filipino viewers to react whatever the ABS-CBN management decides...
As if? When someone criticizes him, he immediately emotes and makes a speech in his show...Well, then where do you think he will make a speech? Inside your house? He also has a freedom of speech and Wowowee is his show! Only his show in Channel 2... Joebert has DZMM in AM radio and The Buzz! He has 2 shows to air his criticisms unlike Willie...
The system of Wowowee is very degrading? I'm sure you watch Eat Bulaga isn't? Do you notice their subscribers seated in at the far end of the studio? Or you didn't notice because their camera always focus in front of the stage?
TFC subscribers brings in money to Wowowee and give it to the poor...Its a cycle...
Willie is a hypocrite and plastic he is but nobody's perfect... I said that's what makes us an individual... We have the good side and the bad side...
I'm sure you are a perfect person and no one at least you know of who hate you...Peace!!! hehe

I'm only saying my opinion, don't hate on me.
Anyway, I don't think you got my point. It's not just about the Joebert and Willie issue. It's about Willie. He's too arrogant and he acts as if it is HIS show. Well, okay it's his show, but it's NOT ONLY HIS. It's not the "Willie Revillame Show". Yes he can air his side on his show, he can say whatever he wants, of course freedom of speech, I didn't say that he shouldn't. What I was trying to say is that he tells that we should just criticize HIM but when we do, he immediately emotes and makes a big deal out of it and makes a 3 or 5-minute speech. I just don't think that it's appropriate, it's a noon-time show. Maybe he can say something, but to the point of "crying" and making a speech during a noon-time show? Oh, and criticizing everyone on his show? He criticizes his co-hosts and staff, and they never emote on the show. Think about that..
I don't care about Eat Bulaga, we're talking about Wowowee here.
Do you even know what Willie did to his ex-wife? If you don't then research and read about it. And I know that okay, that's what makes us an individual. BUT THAT'S WHAT I THINK, that Willie is a hypocrite and plastic and arrogant. Yes we can all be a hypocrite in one way or another, we can be plastic in someways. But for Willie, I just don't like that he does it to a million Filipinos who loves him who, I think, couldn't even see what Willie really is.
I never said I was perfect, why are you even hating on me? Isn't this a place where I can air my opinion? Just because my opinion differs from yours doesn't give you the right to throw sarcastic comments at me.

I totally agree with you friend. Although I don't like Willie that much because of his cocky attitude but he can be funny at times. Willie will be missed by millions of Filipino masses who embraced and loved him. Question is, will he really resign?

That's for the ABS-CBN management to decide...They are in a big gamble whether to choose Joebert or Willie... It will depend to the millions of Filipino masses reaction...

I no longer follow noontime TV but didn't Willie had may times said he would resign or that he will be taken off air but time again he return.
I think the people are just blinded by money that's why they like him. They think he is giving them what they want. But actually he is not, the network is. Willie is just the face the network uses. The network and Willie are getting much more from the people than they give or deserves.

yes i like how they show in tv poor people desperate of money crying and begging for help. This has made my lunch lol. "di ba tayo natutuwa pag merong umiiyak na lola nagmamakaawa tapos i clocloseup nila sinasabi na wala kami makain, wala kaming pera naglakad lang kami dito tapos sasabihin ni willie dito na show na to tutulungan ka magpaparinig nang ganon. Nako! sarap na sarap ako sa kain ko gusto ko ibato yun plato ko sa tv" (sorry too much emotion cannot convert to english lol)
i say good riddance one more perv out of our tv.

I used to watch Wowowee in its first year or so. But I did not watch it because of Willie. I often wondered why ABS-CBN like/prefer to hire him instead of other seasoned hosts. I think the show will survive without Willie. The world of noontime shows wont be the same if the trio of Tito, Vic and Joey finally retires.

I don't believe of replacing willie by any big time actors, but i do believed that his show has doing no good at all in dealing with contestants, not only willie but also mariel rodriguez, i usually noticed her underestimating contestants and even wowowee dancers, they did not noticed their dealings but the eyes of the masses are not blind of what they have done, and one thing I believed is that, it would be nice if the show will be replaced by SHOWTIME, we can find joy and wholesome laughter, seems like the show has a huge amount of charm, the hosts are more likable especially vhong, anne, vice, kuya kim, jogs and teddy, they worked as a team. I would be very glad if the ABS-CBN admin will do this idea.
