Try going to a Bible beliving Baptist Church, and I think you will notice the difference right away. I have Lutheran friends and I go to a Baptist Church when I'm not trucking. And from my observations, I would say Lutherans are like Catholics. Neither one know the bible very well. I know I stroking with a wide brush here and I'm sorry if I offend any Lutherans or Catholic's but like I said this is my observation. I also want to make one thing perfectly clear right now. I'm NOT saying all Baptist have it all together either. I personally struggle with my SIN everyday. But GOD is faithful and forgiving to those who ask & seek his face and forgiveness, and I don't need a priest or mother mary or the rosery to seek GOD. I would like to thank you for asking such a great question. I can't say I've been of any help but let me leave you with one thought. Don't seek the differences between demominations because religion can't save you or get you to Heaven. But seek God, through his Son Jesus Christ by reading your bible and daily prayer and God will reveal himself to you. God Bless.

You may not think that you answered my question, but I will tell you this much. You said exactly the truth in that last sentence. I thank you very much for your wisdom and honesty. I have found out that the Baptist don't believe in needing the sacraments to be saved like the Lutherans do. They believe more of when you take Jesus into your life and into your heart you are saved. I have been going to a Baptist (Southern Baptist) and I absolutely LOVE going and I find myself anticipating Sundays to go. I never did that in my Lutheran Church,I always found it confusing. But thank you for your answer! God Bless!

Thanks for the kind words. Let me leave you with this thought concerning what you said about feeling confused while attending the Lutheran church service, this can actually be said about any sermon from any demonination that doesn't specify the blood of Jesus Christ, crucified for our sins. And that is who is the author of confusion? satan. Glad to hear your attending a church you look forward to going to.

I belong to the Evangelic Lutheran church although I don't consider myself a religoious person. have always been curious about the difference also so when I saw this discussion has no replies, I decided to respond to it and hope that it gets back on the recent discussions list and that someone who has the answer for us will tell us.
