No Privacy!

for me facebook is the best.it is the best social networking site and helps you keep in touch with all the friends.but i am a bit worried when it comes to privacy.i have got 300 or more friends and my updates are visible to all my friends.they can look at my pics.not only my friends but also the rest of the members can look at my details.i'm worried that since the pics can be viewed by anyone,it can be used for bad practices.what do you think?

you can go into your settings and change who can see your infomation. why don't you try and weed out your friends list too. i do this every few months. i delete those people who i don't talk to that often or who just don't ever say anything to me after they ask to be friends.

yes but fb added some privacy option that we can use to protect our privacy better

If u are so worried, then dun post any pictures up there.. haha =D NO matter what u post, be it in facebook or even in mylot, as long as it's accessible by the public, there's nothing u can do, to whoever whom wanna use your picture for wrong purpose.. haha =D
Since it's already there, just let it be.. IF u are really scare, then too bad, remove them all.. haha =D

I like facebook too, I use it all the time, but that's what I'm afraid of too is putting pictures on my profile, who knows who all looks at them, so I try not to put any of my nephews pictures on there, since they are all still under 12 yrs.old I don't want some wierdo getting a hold of them.

Anything posted online is considered public and there is really no such thing as private profile because people will always find ways to view private profile. There are a lot of sites out there that will allow you to do it for free.
What we can do is just be careful what we post online.
