Have you encountered malicious softwares?

I had this malicious softwares for days now, it's appearing in task manager under processes as IEMonitor.exe and as i googled it, I have read that it is an input detecting software so in short it is malicious since it is monitoring every entry made through the keyboard. I think it is considered as a trojan or worm or virus since as I install a new antivirus, it will get corrupted at the next start-up. I have tried reformatting my PC but it gets back as soon as I get my computer online. I'm not even able to download anti-malwares or anti-virus from the net because it blocks the browser from going to the site of the AV. What recommended softwares are there to clean this up? I'm really trying for days to get this out of the system but to no luck...

you cannot install any av after installing any malware into your system because it blocks all av software.. i recommend you have your system all cleared up or reformatting your system.. or if you dont want to.. try the system restore function and if that doesnt work and you still dont want to reformat try an outer of removable drive av.. its a flash drive that has it own anti-virus it can clear up the virus if its av engine is updated.. hope your computer will be fine soon... good luck :)

Hi sweetie. I don't know much about all you just said, but my advice would be to either jump on the damn thing or just get a new one. Or maybe just format everything and stay away from any other installations. That is what gets you into trouble. TATA.

Sorry sweetie, my notifiers ran away again or my BB broke it again. You know what, throw that pc away and get a freaking new one. I don't know where you get the patience to struggle with that. TATA.

I have formatted the whole thing before but I think my USB flash drive is infected so it got back on. I'm tired of formatting it and updating the drivers again so I have to find ways to clean it up.... Formatting is more time-consuming than having a solution for the virus..

Dun u have any existing anti-virus software installed in your computer now?? IF there isn't any, and yet u are not able to log on to the web to download any, i guess u have have to change the whole motherboard or harddisk!! Other than that, i dunno what other ways there can be, when most anti-virus required u to download it from the browser!!

Why would you change anything? lol What I just need now is to get this nasty virus out of the system... this virus is really annoying because it slows down the net more...

If you can't download anything I don't really know what to tell you. Didn't you have a antivirus system in place? Anyway the best malware remover I have found is malwarebytes and it's free.

I feel for you. The first computer I had with windows XP got a trojan embedded in the IE. Nothing we tried would fix the problem. Finally my computer guy had to low format the hard drive and flash the bios and then basically rebuild the whole system. I hope you don't have to go that far.

Uhm the virus killed my installed nod32 when I ran a file from my USB flash drive. I have malwarebytes installed but it didn't get rid of the malicious files, maybe I should get an update...

A program that really worked for me is Malware bytes. The only caveat is you have to be able to install it to your computer and run it in standard mode. Safe Mode will not work at all. Also try kaspersky virus removal tool. worked well for me. If your able to enter in Safe mode this one will be your answer.IF you can run an antivirus program and spot the exe file that executes this program, Malwarebytes has a file assassin tool for deleting deeply entrenched programs in your system. I wrote an article for virus removal a few months ago. You can check it out at my profile. I have a link there for my articles.

IF you're adventurous enough, you can try deleting the file with through ubuntu. Do you have access to RUN? You can type msconfig and go to the startup tab and disable any suspicious items. I always have an ubuntu bootable USB and bartPE bootable USB for trouble shooting. 2GB is enough to configure them. ALthough you will need a separate USB for each. What I can't get rid of in Windows I get rid of through ubuntu or BartPE. BartPE is nice because you can run windows anti-virus programs on it. Ubuntu if you already know the exact file. Hope that helps

Yeah I have malwarebytes installed now but still the virus is active, I see it running on task manager but I could not kill the process, It is associated to guegae.exe i think... Hopefully I could get it fixed early.

Maybe you should try going in safe mode. 1. log out and reboot your machine. 2. when your computer starts the reboot sequence press F8 repeatedly. 3. Select safe mode when the menu appears. Then just wait and u'll be logged into the computer in safe mode. 4. Download the roadkill program at: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.com 5. go to Malwarebytes.org and download it. 6. run malwarebytes and use it to kill all baddies :) HOPE IT WORKED

Ok heres my advice. First of all, reformat your pc ok? But don't rush don't plug the internet. And then look if you still see the virus. If not go to your nearest cd shops or malls or supermarkets or whatever and buy a anti-virus installer AN ORIGINAL ANTI-VIRUS INSTALLER and install it to your pc. After that start using the internet. And download a malware, spyware protection (Or if your anti virus had a already malware protection then don't) If the malware still exist i don't know what you do your computer anymore

yes, I have many times on my old PC. I haven't got any anti-virus software and when I installed one, my PC was full with all kinds of viruses and malwares and spywares. it was like a nightmare for me trying to delete them all, but the only solution was the full HDD format which wasn't that pleasant at all !

reformat your hard disk. All drives should be reformat. That way, that treat would be erase. If the file containing that virus is in drive D: and you only formatted drive C:, your computer will still be infected. Hope I helped you. Happy mylotting!

you can try diferent free anti virus and free anti spyware if they dont detect then you can try to go in safe mode and delete it by yourself and if you cant try a system restore in safe mode
