when your walking back from a supermarket or returning back from your work suppose a small child below 7 years come up up to you and gives those puppy dog eyes look and begs infront of you so that you will give some money to him so that he can pay the school feace or get a one time meal if your in a good mood you give it or you give it so that you could somehow get rid of him and continue your work or you are against this act and in any case you will never give him money cause it is a very bad habbit by giving him the money you are actually making a bad habbit in that kid if we all started to give then he will think that why do i need to study when im gettin enough money fom us and hence it leads to a problem children quit studies and make this their professin...really bad isnt it so i never give money to children begging on the streets...

i used to give money until i learned about them being ruled by syndicates and that the money doesnt go to the children. what i now do is i put some stash of cookies in my car and just give those instead of money. at least i know they make use of what i give them.

In North America we do not have many children begging on the street. There are organizations here to make sure they have safe places to stay and food to eat.

We do have beggars where I live, but so far they've all been adults. Since I pay taxes that support social services that help these people and since I support the church that has a benevolence fund to help those in real need, and because most of those who beg on the street rather than seeking help from benevolent organizations are unwilling to work and only want money to feed their bad habits, I feel no obligation toward them.

That is one very big difference in the USA from other countries. I have never seen any children begging on the streets here in Savannah. I do remember how disgusted I was at the amount of children who had been intentionally maimed and/or disfigured by their parents so they could be professional beggars in Tripoli, Libya when I used to live there. So to answer you question I never see such children but I do give to organized charities who they are on the streets begging for donations.

I would never give a child I don't know any money. In fact I would call the police and have the kid picked up. My God! what kind of person would let a kid ask strangers for money? A kid like that is a target for any creep that see them. Are you from America? I live in NY and we have beggars but most people know they are professionals. Some times they have kids with them but ounce the police come around they move on. I am not alone in saying I would call the police.

I never give money to children who beg. because I know they are just lazy, let alone anyone doing the request of parents. This is very sad circumstances, children are taught to be beggars, and a generation of lazy work. they look for money in a way that they think is easy and does not require a lot of energy.

yes if we give money to children we are only making them lazy and hence in the future also they will remain lazy

Luckily we don't really see a lot of children begging for money on the streets around here so it hasn't been something that I've ever really had to deal with. I'm glad to because one of the things that I think is the hardest things in the world to do is to tell a child no. What I do, however, is that I will donate goods and services to organizations that do work for children that are less fortunate than our family is.

I strongly agree with you on this. Sometimes, syndicates use children to beg for them as a business. Others, children just use the alms for gambling. That is the reason why I only give to old and handicapped people because they can no longer earn for themselves.

yes thats a good option dont give money to children so that they would understand that they cant earn by begging..

You are absolutely right! I don't give them too. Begging for money is a bad habit. Instead, they should be going to schools and studying. Some of them are also a part of a syndicate where in they have a handler whom they remit their money from begging. I also ask them about their parents and their answer is that they dont have any. I ask them to come with me so that they wont have to beg to make a living. I intended to turn over them to orphanage but they refuse to come with me. Why? Because they are not orphans, they still have their parents with them which encourage them for their wrong doings. This is because their parents are unemployed and uneducated.

yes your right these chilren just know n=how to make sad faces so that we give themsome money so that they can contribute something for their family but the more importand thing is that parents are responsible for this they think why send children to study when they can beg ans fetch the family some money which will only lead to unemployment in the future

As per child labour act, it is mandatory to take the children in the streets to labour officer. That happens in India. According to RTE act, no children is left from the education. 'Education for all' is the slogan in India educational system.

Thats really sad about children begging in the streets. We dont have that here in the USA. Or at least i havent seen it. We do have adults begging in the street. I usually dont give to them. I feel we have enough day labor services here that they can go to. Besides we also have laws that make it illegal to give money to beggers. I think if i seen a child begging i would want to take them home.

I do not give money to children begging on the street because (1) they are part of any syndicates; (2) they become dependent on people for their daily living and (3) I find their parents rather irresponsible to let them earn for them.

As another myLotter earlier said, in North America you don't find children begging in the streets. And children are not supposed to ask strangers for money. Last summer I went to my mother's house and I couldn't get in, so I sat on the steps. These two children came up to me. The big sister told the little sister not to come approach strangers. So we talked from a distance, then she asked me for money. I wouldn't do it because I wanted her to understand not to take money from strangers, that just because a stranger gives you money doesn't mean they're nice. Yet, the person in me would tell me to give money to a child begging in the streets. Last summer also, while walking to work, these grade school age kids came up to me and offered to give me a soda in exchange for a dollar. I gave the chap a dollar and his friend asked for money and I told them to share what I gave the chap and they agreed. One thing that did make me happy was walking past a child who was selling lemonaide. I don't like lemonaide but it was hot, I was walking, and I wanted to contribute. So I paid a dollar for a fifty cent lemonaide and walked off without getting the change. Thus, it would be hard for me to resist giving money to children begging in the streets.

Hi, honestly I give because I took pity at them. But lately I've heard from a news that these beggars are controlled by a syndicate. So I didn't give them, though I felt guilty, I think that we should stop giving them because they just rely on the donations and they become lazy. To top it all, these syndicates must be stop.

Well not really. It depends on the kid. But I feel so much pity to an old beggar. I don't know. I feel very guilty if I won't give to that oldie. When I was a bit younger, I used to give to the kids. But when I wasn't able to give one time because I don't really have money left then the a kid begs for a money then she said bad word to me, I got offended and swore never to give ever.
