mixed feelings about promoting my site

this is my site ,www.healthyperday.com a simple designed website ,I have written almost 10 original articles, we know a website without any traffic will go to death sooner or later, I have posted many threads to mention my situation that I want to build online business working at home ,for the time being,I can't hunt the jobs although I am the best in our class of our college in major and other online techniques,I want to be the full-time webmaster,but now to me ,building a website is easy ,promoting the english website looks so difficult,you know ,I live in China, many resources about related English forums are always the shortage,these days,I have to search forums or other websites to post my site link as much as possible,but I just got a few, It can't improve my pagerank obviously,so here again,I want someone could tell me the true way to promote this site about introcing healthy knowledge,can you tell me some resources to promote my site? Thank you!Pleas reply in details , not to reply just using the inane words like "seo" without any details about the site,I am confused now!!! Everyday I face the laugh and pressure from my family members and my relatives aboout working at home!!! I am really in difficulty! So a reply may not directly help me, but maybe a good reply can stimulate me to go on my hard work with much more passion in reason
