We just came from the silver wedding anniversary of my mom's officemate. Then I counted the years my parents have been married: 27. It was a sigh that we were not able to give them the chance to renew their vows when they had their 25th year of marriage. I was still a student then and I still have no money to give them the celebration. Both of them actually don't get to recognize and celebrate their wedding anniversary every year because my dad is always far away because of his job. But we all know that God is always at the center of their relationship. And I'm more than happy and grateful to the Almighty Father for such wonderful and selfless parents.

We don't prepare foods on their anniversaries coz of financial disability but we greet them evrytime. We're still a student then that my father was gone. So at the time that we, their children have job already we give always a birthday party to our mother.

My parents don't celebrate their wedding anniversary every year, but they had a party when they had been married for 12½ years and when they had been married for 25 years. I was still a child when they celebrated their 12½ year wedding anniversary, and I don't really really remember the party. Their silver wedding anniversary (25 years) was a big party with their relatives and many of their friends. The next anniversary with be their gold wedding anniversary when they have been married for 50 years, but they won't celebrate that party till 13 years.
