Has your computer been cyber-attacked? Is your anti-virus strong enough?

I had twice before. That was many years ago when I first had my pc. And eager to surf the net, that was exactly what I did and unprotected! A malicious virus from a friend's email soon made its way into my software. Unaware what was happening it multiplied. My pc got worse until one day I could not open any program. The infected motherboard had to be finally changed. I never learned my lesson. The source of the second came from the sites I visited. I had to change the motherboard again.
There are many attempts up till today. But I'm glad my computer is well protected now!
When you know it is, it gives you peace of mind.

Unfortunately keeping up with these tech wizards is difficult. i have three versions of antivirus and trogans always find a way onto my system. Words of advice, update, update, update. A good offence is a good defence in this case.

Yeah, I got the wonderful "Anti-Virus 2010" virus! IT poses as windows security and scams you of money. IT comes up telling you that you are infected with spyware.. but it is the infection! I wiped my hard drive and installed AVG.

So far my antivirus software is doing a great job. You really should avoid suspicious emails. Even though it came from someone you knew you still won't know if it is virus free because his/her computer might be infected and its sending emails without him/her knowing about it.

Hi juggerogre!
You are very right! I confronted him actually because he was my working colleague. And he was very shocked and surprised for he hadn't sent me any email. It was the virus that was at work. I was equally taken aback.
Thank you so much for sharing! :)
