The practice of eating insects is termed as ENTOMOPHAGY. Insect eating is common for some society in America, Asia, Africa, Middle east Australia and Newzealand. What kind of insects are fit for human consumption and do you know any insect recipes. I dont know the benefits of Insects eating, but insect eaters certainly save some food grains for the non insect eaters.

Hahaha Thats very funny. In fact, there are almost millions of human beings, whom that I call insect eaters. I had read somewhere, that lobster and prawns are also insects.. But certainly, the dishes consisting of these, are really delicious.Lobsters and prawns are favorite dishes of many and they are also known as the delicacies of any particular community. These insects are rich in protein.

I don't think it's common in North America! I don't know anyone personally who has ever even tried insects. However, I understand they have lots of protein. I think I would try them at least once depending on how they were cooked!

Because of their protein contents, the demand is increasing.
