I think that computer games, X-Boxes, Play Stations, Wii, Nintendo and the like have changed societies view on playing games. When my children were young the games that we played were traditional board games, in fact we all still love them now, and Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the old games coming out. I can not stand Monopoly, although several of the children love it - I find that it just drags on and on; games that I do like are Trivial Pursuit,Cluedo, Risk, Uno, Scrabble, and silly ones like Mouse trap and Buckaroo. I think that Scrabble is actually my most famous. How about you ? Do you play these games and if so, which is your favourite?

Oh Board games bring you something that all these games can't, interaction with the game as well as with the people your playing with. My daughter that I live with now, we still play board games, like, clue, scrabble, monopoly, pictionary(fun for drawing..lol), and many others. My all time favorite is Chess, that game can go for days and then it can last just an hour. The strategy you need to learn and work. I haven't played in quite a long time since no one here likes it...lol say its to hard to learn. lol

After I learned in school from one of my teachers, because he said I would be good at it. My mother and I would play for days/weeks at a time. It was challenging because she wasn't a mom that would just let you win...lol Yeah Pictionary is fun, so many laughs and giggles. Always a fun time.

My favourite board game is trivial pursuit. I like it because it is fun to play and because I am able to learn something new each time I play. When I was younger I played against my father and my brother, and we always had a really good time. A couple of years ago my husband and I saw a trivial pursuit game about the 90's, and we decided to buy it. We thought that it would be pretty easy to remember the things that happened during the 90's, but the questions were very hard and it took us forever to finish the game Other games that I like are the farming game, Marco Polo and Africa's star. I haven't played those games for many years and I don't remember the details about the games, but I remember how much fun my brother and I used to have.

We have picked up a few smaller Trivial Pursuit games on specific subjects like Sport, History etc they are good to mix in with the other cards to give a new interest

I have many favorite board games. They are Pay Day, Clue, and Monopoly. But my most favorite is Clue. I've loved it ever since I was a kid. What I love most about clue is that throughout the course of playing the game, it allows me to participate in the story line and makes me feel like I'm a part of the crime/detective experience as I, along with my friends and family members play the game. I also like Clue very much, because it is a game the makes me and the rest of the players use our minds, by making me and them think. I love the mental challenge it gives me, in that it gives me such a rush.

Zombies! Gameplay - People playing the Zombies 4 expansion.
My favorite board game has always been Clue/Cluedo. I've always loved that board game though I usually never had anyone to play it with. Fortunately, it was one of those board games that made it to "video game universe" and that often provided my playability. I always liked playing as Mr. Green. I think primarily because my favorite color is green. There's a board game I heard about not too long ago that I'd love to try. It's called Zombies! and is set during a zombie outbreak (obviously). There's been several expansions released for it ever since it's first release back around 2000 or whenever it was released. In that game, characters are called "Shotgunners" or something like that and the goal is to either: 1) kill 25 zombies and/or 2) reach the goal area (like in the first game, the goal block was the helipad). I thought it sounded like an interesting game so I've been wanting to play it.

I like classic board games : chess, domino and international draughts (on a 10x10 board). Trivial pursuit and Scrabble are fun too. My favorite is chess.

My personal favourite was Cluedo, something about that game just gave it a considerable ammount of replay value, which most other board games seemed to lack after a while. Also the classic monopoly, there was just so much competition, negotiation ect.

I love playing board games but trying to find a group to play games is hard to do. You usually need at least three people. That is why I love to go visit my parent because then we all get into having a game night with snacks and alot of laughs. My favorite board game has to be Clue. I just love that game because you really have to think and keep alert to win the game. I also love all types of trivia games because you can learn alot plus find out how smart or dumb you are.
