Ok , I just finished watching some utube movie reviews by the movie preview critic and cinematic exrement and it made me realise that movies have really declined in quality.
Why are there so many bad movies now a days . ok, to name a few: twilight (wth was with all the half whispering and Kristen Stewart's blubbering at the end .) , transformers ( really? Lackluster acting. All CGI ) , alvin and the chipmunks , envy , dragonball evolution and some of those nicolas cage movies -_-
WHY??????

Yes I agree even the horor movies are bad. Like just recently I saw that Nightmare on Elm Street is coming back. Like how many times can Freddy live. I mean really.... I think the movies today are really bad too. I don't like all the swearing they do,I don't enjoy the blood and gore anymore. I usually end up being drawn to movies about relationships because it seems to be the only thing I have in common now.

Do you wanna see some reviews that share our opinions? Go to youtube and search up spill.com
They've got a review on nightmare on elm street 2010 .
I think the Harry Potter movies have gotten worse as more and more movies got made. Idk why. Maybe because I've gotten older and the movies lost some of their magic. Ha-ha. I made a funny...

Except for Alvin I didn't see any of those, and I had waited for Alvin to get into a discounted theater before seeing it (I'm a sucker for animation). How are you deciding which movies you see? Are you going with children, or adults with a lesser sense of culture than you who insist on seeing these kinds of movies?
With the internet you have the resources to get multiple opinions of movies, which is what I do before I see a movie. I also use several local papers that also have movie reviews.
I liked How to Train your Dragon, and I'm contemplating seeing Babies. The next Shrek movie I'm wondering if I want to wait for it to get into the discount theater, and chances are I will be seeing Robin Hood. I don't know if I will like any of those that I haven't seen before, but that is the chance I will take, because my experience has not been that bad.

I watch movies but not always at the cinemas. I just go to the video store on a Saturday night and rent some or I see them on T.V if it's featuring it. So I don't insist on seeing these movies as soon as they come out but I'm just curious and mostly bored. I didn't start watching movie reviews until just recently, which has made me realise how many bad movies there are . Which led me to starting this discussion to decipher the reason why these movies are even born.

Why..... because frankly the mass cinema going public like these sorts of movies. They get turned on by vampire romances and movies so lacking in anything except CGI that you wonder why not play a computer game instead. The days when movies were about great stories, followed by great performances and then embelishments such as action and CGI look like they are long gone.
Until the time comes when the mass cinema going market grow tired of these movies then all we will get is more of the same because they make the studios big money. Guess that means I will have to keep on trawling through older movies to find stuff which is entertaining for the right reasons.
