Having A friendship with God is no small thing. Today, i have read the awesome faith and obedience of the Father of Faith, with no less than Abraham. i am personally blessed with the life that he lived during those times. he could not have the title if he is not deserving to it. what is more, he is considered to be a friend of God. what a title. as for me, when i have a friend, that friend of mine is having access to everything i have. and i think it is also the same with God and Abraham. such a nice relationship to be having. it is what Jesus had also said to His disciples when he said to them that they are His friend. what a nice title to called. and in the passage (Genesis 18:22), Abraham was there standing before the Lord begging for other's life. he is not just a friend of God but to others as well. he was praying or asking God to spare the life of his friend. what a nice story to be remembering. that since i am under the grace of God, i can also approach the throne of grace, and have access in His loving mercy to pray and interceed for others as well. Abraham is a great example of appropriating the faith that the Lord has given us. that this gift of His, should be used for His kingdom, for His glory and honor... This is my quiet time.. Jing..
