I was recently looking for some information on the state of affairs in Haiti and found nothing. I was wondering the exact same thing my friend. And you are right once the news cameras leave, then public attention is diverted elsewhere. I am not trying to make light of any of the other recent tragedies we have experienced in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, but at last notice there were still people under rubble when the news crews left. I still wonder what the outcome of a lot of this was. I know we have had several tragedies since then, even a few more major earthquakes, but I do not believe any one of these events were as cataclysmic as the event we witnessed in Haiti. I am sure they are still receiving aide but when the news crews leave so does the worlds eye on the catastrophe. I don't understand why at least we aren't seeing current updates as to the status of the country. Many said right after the earthquake though this would play out exactly this way, and when the cameras left it was important for people to realize they will still need humanitarian aide and supplies and medical care for some time. A lot of reporters even urged people to realize this would happen so I do hope the monies raised and the efforts made are still making a difference. This is an excellent post I commend you for still remembering this happened in today's fast paced information age.
