If there is no obstacle, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati began June 1 upcoming move to Washington DC, United States (U.S.), with a new position: Executive Director of the World Bank. For that position, Sri Mulyani may receive an annual salary of more than U.S. $ 347,000 (or approximately more than 3 billion rupiah) or approximately 250 million rupiah per month. That's not including retirement benefits and other emoluments. This salary. Very surprising to me. but this is a decent salary for Sri Mulyani. according to you, whether Sri Mulyani deserve salaries that big?

i think it`s taboo to ask about salary before we are working, LOL. maybe it`s one of indonesian tradition but i think sri mulyani her self doesnt think about salary at first time even it`s important things. maybe she can get the interanational salary i think

Hmm, based on her achievements so far, that's salary quite deserved for her. And U.S., unlike Indonesia, respects high talent. So it's no wonder they give Sri Mulyani a satisfactory salary, in which here may looks so big.
By the way, if we compared her situation, being accused here in Indonesia, I think it's best for her to go overseas, haha...and with that salary that big, you don't need to think twice to accept the job. I'm proud of her:)
*Indonesia doesn't respect her talent, so be it!

i guess the designation is so dignified and important that the US thinks she is deserving to receive that amount. 
if her conscience says it is too much as the people in her country would be helped if she donates some of it, then it is her choice.

I suppose her salary is commensurate with his work/job there, in world bank. So she is deserve to get that amount. I don't care with her salaries, the most important thing is she's still care with indonesian economic so we all hope she with her position in world bank always carying our economic stabilities in the world.

I personally think she is genius, she is one of few people I respect in this world. I think its a great loss for us.
I think she deserve that amount of money, I think she alway paid big, she had a great reputation outside Indonesia and have amazing job before become finance minister like Asian IMF director. And she listed as one of most powerful woman in the world.
Regarding what others said about century gate, I still respect here, and I don't her to go

hopefully, Sri Mulyani not forget the country of Indonesia where the population is still a lot of shortcomings. hopefully she'll donate a bit of a very large income, to assist the Indonesian population are lacking. I am proud of a woman from Indonesia, recognized by the world. I feel Sri Mulyani deserve a salary equal to that. Sri Mulyani hopefully it can carry out their duties properly and responsibly.

I think she deserve to receive those amount salary regarding to her responsibility. She is managing director of World Bank! Director of Indonesian Bank Salary is more than 100 million monthly. Sri Mulyani responsible for manage many countries and she deserve to receive more salary.
