Why do men talk less???

Women usually misinterpret the silence of men. We tend to get anxious when our partner stop communicating for no apparent reason. Sometimes, we think they're not interested in us or in what we have to say, that's why we make an effort to capture their attention.
Is there a reason why do men talk less??

Let me be the first male to answer your interesting question. It's probably because we cant get a word in, LOL, only joking. Believe it or not males do have feelings and often find it hard to express them, especially with words. SOmetimes a man going quiet simply means we are thinking about what you are saying and trying to think of the best response to give or action to do, in regards to what you are talking about.
Just my own thoughts, I am sure you will receive many responses (probably more from females than me) to your absorbing topic.
