I just heard the news from you. all day, I did not hear the news on the radio and saw the news on television. I do not know whether the Aceh earthquake or not readily occur. but an earthquake can happen anywhere. hopefully earthquake happens, no worse and no casualties. I am very saddened to hear of disasters. too many disasters that have occurred.

that is makes me shock of course, because there is a warning too to people who lived in Jakarta to get prepared if tsunami comes. aceh is easily to get earthquake maybe because its land that is not strong enough.

trauma some time ago had not yet recovered in aceh earthquake shimmy back, and even has given warning tsunami will come so people in panic and scrambled out. Perhaps because the sea water adjacent to Aceh, then this often happens with very large magnitude.

Ever since Tsunami, Aceh get earthquake often. I was born and raised in Banda Aceh before I moved to Palembang, and I can say that earthquake happen very often. The scary thing is, most of them are the big ones, above 6 richter scale. The tsunami disaster is still fresh in my mind. I hope it won't happen again. I have lost friends and relatives, I don't want to lose any of them anymore.

I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps because sumatra island is near with pacific earthquakes lane so there is many probabilities to be stricken by earthquakes, moreover after tsunami in aceh that have made a large under sea fracture.

ya,maybe sumatera is risk island for earthquake i think. many eartquake is located in sumatera especially in bengkulu, padang and aceh. so goverment must always inform many people there to always be careful to any disaster

This is the link from the Indonesian Antara News Agency: http://www.antara.co.id/en/news/1273402899/magnitude-72-quake-panicks-thousands-in-aceh If we could we would but sometimes disasters are just inevitable and unavoidable for one reason or another. We would expect at least the public warning system or the Tsunami Early Warning Systems (TEWS) to be well-operational especially for a place proned to disasters like Meulaboh in Aceh, Indonesia or anywhere around the world. It's really sad... Thanks for the info.
