Get your credit report and score before anything. Any loan or debt consolidation you get will be based largely on your credit score, so you should find this out.

If you're looking for credit counseling: try doing a search on it. Beware though that some "non profit" companies will still charge MONTHLY fees up to $50 (depending on where you live and the laws governing there). If you're over your head and you can't afford what you've already got, then credit counseling is probably not the way to go. I mean, sure, they cut your intrest, and payments, but I have found that you end up paying the same amount if not a couple $$ more every month to cover their fee. Try to get a debt consolidation loan, OR contact your creditors directly and ask them to lower your intrest rate or ask if they have a temporary hardship program. Good Luck!
