For a month ago the news reported that a sick woman asked to be helped do die. She had been sick since she was a child and now she was over 30 years old. And she was alive becouse of a mashine. She wrote a letter to our gouvernment and asked to be released from the mashine and to die. There was a discussion and they desided that it was okey. For a week ago they turned the mashine of and the woman died. I feel she was right to be helped, there was no treatment to help her live a decent life. Would YOU aks for help if you could?

I just read a book this afternoon called The Five People You Meet In Heaven. Maybe she should read that before she takes any further action. Even a life on a machine is still a life. It's such a delicate issue that has been debated for years. Should we have the right to end our own lives? I can't ethically answer that questions with out having been through anything that profound myself.

I do not agree with YOU, if you lie in a bed, cant move, or do anything without any human help and are being kept alive buy a mashine I think I would have asked for this help to. What kind of a life is it a special if you have cleared mind. I strongly think she is better of on the other side.

oh yes definitely. i have always made it known to my family that i do not want to be kept breathing by a machine. i also think that euthanasia should be allowed. when the patient requests it, the doctors who assist them to die with with dignity should not be penalized.

euthanasia should be allowed. when the patient requests it, the subject has been questioned for a long time and I am glad our gouvernment finally reasoned about it and gave the lady what she wanted.

that was not a nice situation to be into. and i would rather keep mum about the situation. i could not dare do it. well, let us say that you just don't inform me to plug it off and i would do it.. then tell me afterwards. so that i won't feel the guilt. hehe.. as for me, i could not do it in that instant. i pity her. such a sad story. what about her family?.

Hi, annetteh. If there was no other help, then I would have to be released from the life support machine. I am sorry about her having to be placed onto this machine. I would ask for help, there is no doubt about that. I would not want to suffer for too long.

Yes, I am glad that this woman got the help she needed. It has been a open question for some time to give people help like this. And when people who are in a situation like she was it should be up to her as long as she has her mind clear and know what she want.
