Information Overload

Do other people have a problem with information overload? In the past I have signed up for advice, guru emails, free programs, free tuition, free how to make money online programs and everything else I could find, then found that it was impossible to take it all in and I ended up doing nothing at all, or spending money I don't have.
All those auto-responder emails are very well crafted and they work, unfortunately, they persuade you (me anyway) to upgrade to another (paid) program that I will never use.

I found an effective way of handling "information overload". It's actually practical and simple. Whenever you are caught in that web, the solution is to get back to your goals and objectives. Re-align yourself with your vision, mission, goals and objectives. Get back to your bottom-line. Get back to what matters most to you. Then use your acquired information to achieve them.

Right on there. I am much more focused since being recommended to read Alex Jeffreys. Downloaded his ebooks, Up at 5am this morning, have daily, weekly tasks planned and priorities in place.

This is the most stressful thing that happened to a person. I hate it. It happens to me every now and then. But what I normally do is to go out with friends or go out alone so I can think and free myself from any information. Cause I think, sometimes friends can add to that information hahaha. I go out, go to the nearest starbucks and get a latte or go out of town or any place that cozy and quite so I have the time to unload those information.

You're right Screwdriver. It is important to chill, to let the pathways in the brain clear totally. Personally, I get the garden tools out and spend a day in the garden.

I've much the same problem. I've been trying to work out how to make a little without leaving home and my e-mail inbox is so full it's crazy. and yet i think i've made about £8! yep i've also been suckered in to parting with the tiny amounts of money i do have, but actually i've not fallen for too many. firstly if i want to pay then i fource myself to bookmark it and return 24 hours later. secondly, i have a good search to see if it's a scam, and thirdly i try and use the stuff i know to link me to new stuff. Mylott is full of people actually using these things and their pages are full of links that are useful cause you know they have probably tried them out. It's also good to limit yourself per day. it's impossible to really get to grips with more than 2 or 3 programs or web sites a day. do 2 or 3 well and then go back to the others once you feel ready for a new challange. Hope that helps. and don't feel down, lots have been there before you and will come after.

The idea of a 24 hour wait is a good one. Thanks for such a well thought out response.
I have actually given up on all gurus now, just trying out sites like MyLot to see if I can make a reasonable amount. I hope to get other people to sign up for any programs I recommend and earn more through all the 10% s or whatever.
