I felt that I should write a little account of the great customer service I get from my local supermarket - which is actually a Sainsbury's store.
I went there yesterday and was looking for some poppy seeds, I searched and searched but couldn't find them so asked an assistant if she knew if they stocked them.
She spent quite a while looking and then came back with a large plastic tub full of poppy seeds.
The shop didn't actually stock poppy seeds but they did use them in the bakery, s she got me a tub of them from the bakery and they were free of charge.
I thought that was really good service.

I would say overall I am very happy with the service I get from my local supermarkets. They have to and do put in a lot of effort in their customer service. Usually you can easily find someone to give you hand with a query or help you find something. At checkouts they can improve and actually go at the pace of the customer, rather than just rushing through and customer standing there fo extra 5 min bagging, should help the customer but thats only couple of supermarkets I see that happening in.
