do you invest a little time in some daily journaling?

I mean every day you could spend some time on writing. not too seriously, just let the pen roll as you envisage what your perfect day, then week, then year would look like. and you could think back over past weeks, months, even years--which events/activities stand out as being joyous or exciting for you. if you can't think of anything, consider those events you reacted to in others with excitement, even jealousy. it works.
by the way, I don't mean the down-time. :)

I have just recently begun to keep a journal again. I want to fine tune my writing skills before I go off to college, but also I enjoy being able to look back upon moments of my life and understand myself in those instances. That was the best part of the journals I used to keep.

hi myy0220,
I learned to love writing as I learned to love reading. I am a sentimental person and reading my past diaries sometimes makes me cry and makes me smile or even laugh. As of now, I have a blog on which I save the everyday learnings I got. Whenever there is something significant that happened in a day, I write it down on my blog. Whenever I encounter new words I am not familiar with, I also write it on my blog. That way, it increase my vocabulary. I believe that I am also helping other with my blog because it is full of learning ideas especially if you want to learn more on English language. For me, investing a little time in writing or journalling is not a waste of time. It helps me to improve more and express myself more.

yup, through my blog! i love blogging, and it probably stemmed from my love of writing journals back in the day. though writing has more nostalgia and sentimentality, i prefer online journals / blogs for easier storage and easier access, and it can do so much more (like getting paid hehehe).
i love reading my old entries too and realize how far i've gone and become more mature (not! hahaha).
