Suns sweep the Spurs to advance to the Western Conference Finals

Revenge was so sweet as the Suns were able to take out the Spurs in 4. Despite Nash having nine stitches on his right eye he manages to have 20 pts and 9 assts. Stoudemire contributed 29 pts. As usual impressive showing by the Suns bench to carry them into the next round. They have at least a week to rest and study their potential opponent in the lakers and their brutal front court.

Go Suns! Nash is still as impressive as before. Good all around performance by Nash. Really hoping they get past Lakers to enter the NBA finals. I'm really sure Nash really wants to win the elusive championship ring.

The Phoenix Suns are deserving to win against the Spurs. With superior talent in their lineup the Lakers will have to beat them using the heft and height advantage. The Suns are not as tall as the Lakers but they have the capability of beating the Lakers in their past playoff matchup with the Suns' winning 4 playoff series against the Lakers and the latter only won by one playoff game. But this time, for my own prediction, the defending champs will win this series in 6 games.

Alvin Gentry has done a brilliant coaching job this year. This is probably the best Suns team ever. With Frye and Dudley and Barbosa and Dragic coming off the bench, they go 9 deep easily, something they couldn't say under Mike D'Antoni. I don't know what Robin Lopez's status is but I think that they need him if they want to beat the Lakers. Jarron Collins and Louis Amundson aren't good enough to defend Bynum and Gasol. But again, major props to Gentry because he's gotten them to play defense without sacrificing anything on the offensive end. Another think that D'Antoni never did. Maybe if Gentry was coaching this team 3 or 4 years ago, they would have won a championship by now.

suns deserve this win after all they went through against the spurs in previous play-off encounters. let phoenix and its fan soak all the glory in this victory. they truly have the numbers of the spurs this series.
