I have the sweats about 90% of the time. All of a sudden complete and overwhelming heat will strike and I am completely miserable. Don't think it is menopause and am quite scared. In addition, I am tired and forgetful. All is annoying and makes it very difficult to work. At work there are things that need to be reviewed and reviewed so it doesn't get screwed up. So tomorrow I am going to the doctor and hopefully find out what it is.

It´s a very good idea to go to the doctor if you have a health problem, specially if you are scared. Your profile says you are 53 years old. It sounds like all those problems could have to do with menopausal hormone imbalance. It´s not comfortable but it´s quite normal. Just be sure to ask your doctor to explain everything you want to know. Being scared is a worse situation than any heat.
Take care and welcome to mylot!

hi arabgirl28 you are probably just going through the perimenopause phase but its best to see your doctor to be sure,as there are things you can take to slow all the sweating down and lessen your other symptoms too. this is a precursory to real menopause and will lead into it but get help now and the real menopause could be a breeze for you.Don't be scared but find out what it is and get helped so you can be comfortable at work and at home too. Some women just sail right through with little symptoms at all while others like my self had the hot flashes that seemed to last for hours, but then they did not have all the medical help they have now.

I think going to the doctor is the best way to find out what's wrong. It's not menopause if you are still young. There are just people with hyperactive sweat glands. Sometimes it's a good thing, and sometimes it's not. You need to drink more fluids/water every time you sweat a lot so that it'll be replaced to avoid dehydration.

Hello arabgirl and welcome to myLot. It sounds to me like as others have suggested like menopause is starting for you. Yes you should go to the Dr but to a gynecologist is your best bet. If the Dr wants to put you on Harmonia therapy be sure to ask about some causing cancer when taken over a long period of time. It does get better.

It is definitely a case of menopause.Tiredness, irritability , forgetfulness, sweating --all these are things that I am also facing.I have heard of similar experiences too.Now am putting on weight too and this is an added cause for concern.Don't worry. You just keep deliberately calm and perhaps the doctor may give you some proper medicne like menopace plus and you will find relief.

is this your first time to notice that your becoming sweaty, or even before, is it localize such as it only occurs to a certain part of your body like palms, under arms or feet. if it occurs all over the body then maybe its just natural because its summer. the temperature today compared before is high here in my country the hottest recorded this summer is 37.8, that eventhough we use air-conditioner still it cannot compensate with the heat

Hello welcome to mylot, yours is clearly due to menopause, doctors call it 'hot flashes' in woman, my wife had it too, she was advised hormone treatment but i didnot go for it, the problem went of its own..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.
