at the age of 24? I have noticed that my memory's ability has declined a little. I didn't expect this to happen this early though. I'm thinking of taking glutamic acid supplement as they say it could be of help. have you taken this before? how was it like? I hope it's effective. I've also done some research on the foods that are known to boost the memory. But this is annoying really....it's annoying to have left the keys inside the apartment, and be locked out outside, it's annoying to forget that something is cooking on the stove, it could even burn the house and cause my death... It's just annoying!

wow that is a little too young to be forgetful. but maybe because you just need to organize more? eat the right diet too and there are some supplements for forgetfulness. i still think though that its more on organizing things.
cheers and happy mylotting!

i also experienced the same. i took glutamic acid before in highschool mostly whenever i studied for exams, quiz bees, ect but i think it worked because i'm focused whenever i study, im focused to what i'm reading, you also have to look for a convenient when doing your shopping, groceries. or have a designated place for your things so not to misplace them like placing a first aid box for the medicines, key holders, or a cabinet for important papers.

It is indeed annoying! I used to be a very detailed person. And long time ago, I could always count on my memory for everything. When that started failing sometimes, I relied on a notebook and writing things down. I just scribble a few things and just the act of writing always helped me to remember. Lately, I've been forced to read what I write down.
I guess I'm just getting old. And forgetfullness comes with the territory.

i recommend you to do some things that can enhance memory cause sometimes when our memory is not always in use our nerves tend to relax and be inactive try to play any memory training game like SODOKU or CROSSWORD-PUZZLE..
there are many games on the internet that can boost your memory cause i noticed your problem too happening to me this vacation..
so i've research and found out that is usual that our brain must be exercised so it will continue to work fine.. :)

Hi kquiming,
I had experienced it before. Forget to bring key or left the key in office and etc. But for me, instead of call it forgetful, i will call it careless. I did it to improve. I will put everything that i have to bring the next day together with my wallet and mobile because everytimes i went our, the things i will always remember is my wallet and mobile. So, when i take the two thing, i will see the others thing that i have to bring along such as my key, or sometimes document that we have to bring. I don't know whether is work for you.

Thanks to your discussion I realized that I could have the same memory problems. Mine are short term. I've also forgot my keys in the house when I went to pick hubby up and had to crawl into our bedroom window. I've never forgot about the stove on while cooking.
I'll also forget where I put things, where as before I was so organized and put things back in place when I was finished using it.
Take care

at your age i don't think your memory is declining. your becoming forgetful might be because you have too many things going on at the same time. do you get enough rest? do you get enough sleep at night? help your mind focus. perhaps you could try breaking down big tasks into smaller, more manageable ones. don't take too much on. nowadays people do a lot of multi-tasking but does this make one more efficient? wouldn't you rather do fewer tasks of high quality than accomplish multiple jobs sloppily?

We have the same sentiment. Actually I became forgetful at an earlier age. I always forget my keys so there was a time that I just break our doorknob just to get in. What I'm doing now to help my memory is do some brain exercises like solving sudoku, puzzles, thinking and thinking and thinking, etc. You should also eat lots of healthy foods. And get enough sleep. Insufficient sleep can kill our precious brain cells. Although there are billions or even trillions of them they are not being reproduced so let's take care of them :D

I think it will be better if you consult a Doctor...... Training your brain is the another thing you can do.... just do some brain puzzles.....besides medicines.... I think you know this site- www.lumosity.com........just try it...... don't worry..... all will be fine.... just relax.... dont put your mind,in fact it's the brain, on pressure..... take care....
