Why not check out Davao City and the resorts on Samal Island. Davao Gulf is recognized as one of the best dive sites in the world with many coral reefs and more than 30 sunken Japanese war ships. You could always take a couple of days and climb Mt Apo or visit with the famous monkey eating eagle. Davao City is very safe now and although there 1.5 million people there and it is a big city you will enjoy the country feel of the locals.

Not far from one of your heroes in Manny Pacman in General Santos too. Love to see him fight live some time. He is quite a boxer. Was in the Philippines a few years ago and watched one of his fights live in Jollie Bee. It was good to be part of the local fan club.

One of the best places here in the Philippines is Baguio located in the North, more or less 5hours travel from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, regarded as the Summer Capital Of the Philippines. The weather is cold and there are a lot of beautiful spots to visit like The Burnham Park, Camp John Hay, Philippine Military Academy, Strawberry Fields and a lot more to enjoy with. If you love the beach, I highly recommend Boracay. It is white sand and a lot of tourist visit this place every year.Other vacation spots would be Chocolate Hills in Bohol where you could also see the Tarsiers(the smallest monkey). You could also visit Ilocos, Palawan, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao and a lot more.

Nice post reyornillo,
The best thing here in the Philippines were summer, sun and the beach. There are so many beautiful beaches I want to visit if I would be given so much time to do so, and resources, of course. Hehehe. I have not been to Baguio but I heard so many good stories about this place, who knows? I might be visiting it one of these days. There are undiscovered beaches in Batangas which I suggest you visit, it cannot be compared to Boracay's finest sand, but it is also white sand there, so many foreigners. Breathtaking view of the mountains! =)
