I've been smoking for the pass 2 years and I have to say it's getting harder to quit. I wish I never started. But does anyone who smoked longer than I have, tried smoking? If so, I need your help. I could do cold turkey before and I didn't last a week. I don't want to turn to the gum or the patch because when I tried it, it failed and I realized it was a waste of money. If it helps, I also know that you shouldnt try to quit when you are most stressed.

I started smoking when I was 17 years old, I quit when I got pregnant at age 27 and during that time I smoked almost 1 pack a day. I also went through the many cycles of quitting and smoking. My almost successful quitting experience was after I got married and got pregnant. I quit because of the baby of course but it was very easy for me then because when I was pregnant the smoke made me dizzy and very nauseous.
Stress was the main reason why I started smoking again after giving birth. I was not happy with it but I can't seem to fight the urge. Anyway, I quit smoking again when I got pregnant with my second baby and that was in November 1998 and I'm happy to say that I have not smoked again since then. Drinking coffee is now my vice. :)
