To my point of view, I would consider mercy killing as a last alternative. I just cant let my love ones to suffer more. Let nature do its course as some have says. What if the reason of the person is alive is because of medicine he takes, or a machine lets him breath. What if the person who is lying on bed is begging to free him. What if God wants to take that person with Him in Heaven but could not because we are stopping him to going to. Well that is my thoughts all the time whenever there is a discussion on mercy killing.

everything depends. love, they said is giving and receiving and vice versa. another thing about love is that, if you really love this person, you will do everything to make his/her life pleasant, even if you have to do it the hard way (giving up and letting go). mercy killing is the last choice to consider on very desperate times of life. as a person, you know when to go on, or give up for the betterment of both parties. if mercy killing is the best thing to do to ease all that person's pain, then do it. it hurts a lot, but it hurts more to see and feel your loved one's pains. and on the brighter side of life, although you did kill that person, it's filled with mercy. it's a kind of the last best help you could give. it's like a white lie. :)

I am definitely against mercy killing. Whatever the reason there is to do it, it is not an excuse to kill a person. It is very clear from one of the ten commandments of God which says that 'thou shall not kill'. As a Christian I can't just accept the idea of mercy killing.

aduh...why must kill for mercy?.killing will not solve the problem..i mean the killed person will never have the chance to understand why he/she was killed!..put them in jail or give them a talk or counselling is better,if i were in this situation ill never do this kind of elimination,..i cannot stop anyone either, but suffering person always saves...

I'm not against mercy killing. If there's no other choice then I'll go with Mercy Killing. I don't want to see my love one suffer any longer. If there's really no cure for his/her sickness and a machine is the only thing that's letting him/her lives then I rather cut that to end his/her suffering. Afterall its not living if your just lying in there and cannot do what you want to do.

I am totally against with it. He is the owner of our lives then He has only right to take it. But don't worry guys, i do respect your every opinion. :-)

Mercy killing, yes if at all very very very much necsry should not be done as people can take some suffering in life for the bible says, i will not give you as much suffering that you will not be able to withstand, so we have to fight our best to stay with that person in every way and if it beyond the stage given the bible, then we can proceed with mercy killing with a very heavy heart

I'll only sign the papers to have my relative / loved one mercy-killed IF and only if the person has given me the consent to do so... The decision has to come from the patient not me. Because only the patient can tell whether he's ready to give up or not... If the person happens to be unconscious and the sole decision maker is me, I think I won't opt for mercy killing so long as I can afford to pay the hospital bills and medicines for the patient.... Of course it's painful to see my loved one suffering , but I'd rather leave these things in the hands of God...

if we already do everything and theres no more hope already then i will just pray to god and let her take my love one in a normal or natural way where they will not be able to suffer a lot, i dont want mercy killing specially if the decision is coming from me coz its just like of killing them and its killing me too, i know they will suffer but they alone know if they can take it or not, if they still breath it means they still want it coz if not then they will just let go of their life. i will still give all my best till to the last breath and tell them that no matter what happened i will be here with them, and so if they become so tired and they think that everything is fine they alone will give up there own life as no matter how many medicine they have if its already their end then no medicine nor prayer can help them but to accept the fact the need to go without having mercy killing at all.

They say that the end does not justify the means but no matter what they say I am against mercy killing. I believe that we should let life take it's natural course. It's still killing and it's a sin.

For me mercy killing would best be applicable to those agreed by the doctors... and you can see the visible suffering of the patient... But again I have to assert that only God will decide.
