How to increase your page views?

Hi mimpi! I write on few sites. However, I least try to promote my article/poem. At the most, I send the links to some friends, who I think would read my article/poem. I just do not have time to promote my articles. I do not bother much about earnings, when any article/poem gets published on any site, it gives me great amount of satisfaction rather than earnings. I gave up on my blog because I got tired of the hard work required in order to increase page views! I found that if I was constantly on top of it, registering my sites on catalogues, linking to other sites like Ezine as an example etc the views would be good but if I let it go for a couple of days it would all start to drop again. It was just too darn hard...

I have not done much of writing and promoting to really answer the question out of experience. But i did do some research of this for an assignment, and can share qith you the little i learnt. Without any doubt it does involve networking, but i will not say much on that. These help is what i've learnt. Using the tag words, identifying keywords and having the correct density of them through out the artices, so that they show up during searches. Using cross references or links of other articles within 1 article, so that it draws some traffic towards the other pages I also understand that there are some free sites like ezine and others which allow you write there and give the links of other websites. Interactivity and updation helps, wherein people come back to read more Another thing which i may suggest is write an article on how you have been able to achieve whatever you have in terms of page views and networking. We sometimes feel that we have a lot to learn, but there are others who learn from us. This itself helps in increasing the pv's. Hope these points helped.

good question other than posting your links anywhere and everywhere. mylot doesn't have an option to share what we share here on facebook and twitter. I use both of those with my blog posts as well as with things I write or post on several other sites and that seems to really be helping. Marsha
