How long could you go without your cellphone?

I once left my cellphone at work and for 3 hours I couldn't stop wondering if I had been texted or called and maybe I was missing something important. Once my friend delivered my cellphone to me I was beyond relieved. Only to find out nothing interesting had happened. And I try not to consider myself dependent on my phone, looks like I am though. How long could you go without your cellphone?

I tried not holding or even reading my texts for 5 days, and I was really worried and really look weird if I don't have my cellphone. When I received it I had more than hundred texts for 5 days and felt bad that I wasn't able to reply them back at the day they texted me.

And then they ask, "Didn't you get my text!?" And are mad at you. Been there.

I hate those forward things unless they are jokes or funny pictures. What a waste of my time.

when i was sick and cannot go out of our house because of severe allergies, i have not used my phone for more than 1 year.
well its different in my case, a lot have happened and some of my friends thought that i was in a different country or forgotten them.

Well, good response (joking of course) would be, "Yup, visited a new place each day, forgot all about you. Brought you a t-shirt though." I hate allergies. Especially seasonal allergies, blech!

i think the longest that i went for was a whole night. it was when i accidentally left my cellphone in my locker at the office. i don't really remember how many messages i got during my phones "lockdown".
there was also last year. last year, i went on vacation with my friend, and there's no cellphone signal at their house. so when we would get to the house, our cellphones were pretty much useless. we do get to check our messages though in the morning when we go to the town :) it was pretty weird that their private island has cellphone signal but their house in the town doesn't :)

Actually, it isn't weird at all for a house to not have signal. In fact, a lot of houses block cell signals simply by size, what they are built with, insulation, etc. At least you had signal in town though.

It is interesting nut I have spent a whole week without my cell phones.I went to a village high in the mountains so there I didn't have any access to network so I didn't take my phones with me.It was a bit strange at the beginning but later on I forgot about them and spent a wonderful vacation in a quiet place.

I guess being forced to go without a phone is one way to do it.

I use my laptop a lot too but, it can't replace a cell phone for me yet.

I just recently got my cell phone about a few weeks ago and it's one of the reasons I'm on mylot at all, because I have to pay for the unlimited texting myself. Anyway, I forgot my cell one day and I freaked out. I kept thinking I must have lost it, or was worrying my dad would call me and I wouldn't pick up. He says if I miss a single call he'll take my cell phone away. I think I could go about 3 hours without my cell without breaking.

Since the only phone I have and use is my cell phone, then I really can't go without it. I do take it with me when I leave the house, as I never know if one of my kids will need to talk to me for something, but they usually don't, but I am prepared just in case. I had a landline and a cell phone uup until December of 2998, but it was then that I decided, I didn't want to have to pay for 2 phones. Also, I got tired of all the telemarketer calls, and now I don't get them, which is a good thing. I would be lost without my cell phone, that is for sure. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I am the same way and I do not have a landline either. I just like the portability of the phone. I greatly dislike telemarketers as well so, the cell phone helps with that. Thanks for your comment!
