Looking outside my house right now is so depressing as it has started to blow a gale and snow. It's not heavy and it wont come to much but, it's the month of MAY.
Whatever happened to 'global warming' , did it miss the UK.
Where's my winter coat, thought I'd seen the last of that for a good few months.
BBrrrrr...

The general election in th UK, your right, dont mention it. What a complete and utter joke. You would think by now the government could at very least get one thing right, LOL, but oh no.
Leave it up to politicians to make a mess of things, at least they cant be blamed for the weather, or can they.

Parts of the US have had snow recently and it is snowing in one area today. This is the time we should be able to plant our delicate plants outside where I live but, when I woke up this morning, there was frost everywhere.
This past winter we got over eight feet of snow when normally we MIGHT get one foot, usually less.
Also, last Spring was the wettest I can remember. A large part of my veggie garden was washed out because of it.
I've kept my winter coat handy because I never know what the weather is going to be like these days. It can be in the 90's (fahrenheit) one day and in the 50's the next with nighttime temps in the 30's. It got down to 33F last night when it should be above 50 for a low every night now. I've held off planting the majority of my veggie garden because I just don't know if a sudden frost will kill it all or not. What I've already planted I've needed to cover 3 times now to protect against frost.
I have to agree with you, it IS depressing! I love gardening. I get energy and strength from gardening. It gives me peace and tranquility. When I have to wait because of the weather or see that frost or too much rain has killed what I've done, I get so depressed!
Let's hope the weather can make up it's mind and settle down some very soon. At least, I hope it becomes steadier instead of all these extreme variations in the temperatures from day to day.
Global warming? Yeah, right.
