My mom died when I was seven years old. And every time Mother's Day comes, I am very sad. I miss her so much. I love her dearly. I never get to spend this special day with her. Since I have my own children, I am able to spend this day with them, which makes it so special to me. Have you lost your mother when you was a child, how about just recently? I always say that anyone that still has a mother that is living is indeed blessed. Life is so precious and when it is taken away unexpectedly it can shatter many hearts. Like mines. I hope that you all have had a Happy Mother's Day even if you did not have your mom physically here with you.

Hi cream, really sorry to learn that you had lost your loving mom in such a young age of seven. That is the age that needs and enjoys parental love. This means that you have less remembrance having happy moment with your beloved mom. No wonder you feel sad when mother's day comes.
It's true that we realize deeply how great is our mom after giving birth to the first kid. My mom passed away fourteen years back. My beloved mom left me in my arms one evening after other sibling stayed away for shower and meal. I was alone with her that moment. She passed away peacefully. We will visit the same tomb of her as well as my late dad in the second month of chinese lunar calendar annually.
My son came back to hometown a week before mother's day and had an advance celebration. He couldn't get leave the following week. He invited my husband and me to watch my favorite martial show IP Man 2 as well as having lunch in my favorite restaurant. He reloaded my cellphone airtime yesterday while my husband celebrated mother's day with me having a four days vacation in a mountain resort.
Really cream, life is so valuable! Therefore we have to cherish every precious moment we are together with our loved ones
Take care and happy posting

It's so sad to hear that
Well, dun be too sad.. AT least, u did manage to feel some motherly love, while she's still alive.. Even though it's just a short 7 years, but it's still much better than those whom had never even seen their mother since birth..
So cheer up, and u are far luckier than them ^_^ PLus, u have your own kids now, and having them to celebrate mother's day with u, is like how u gonna do it with your mom, if she's still alive ^_^

My mom lives far away, but I always makes ure that I call and send cards. It is the least I can do. Sometimes I will also get her a present. she was a good mom overall, and I miss seeing her everyday.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, even though it has happened years back, when you were so young. To lose a mom at such a tender, young age...I can imagine the pain. You are a brave person, cream..and your children are blessed to have you as their mom. Have a great Mom's Day to you and to all moms of the world deserving this, including mine.

I am blessed to have my mother with me still. She is undergoing some health issues that make me wonder how long I will have her. It makes me sad when I think of how vibrant she used to be. But I don't care. I'll take her any way I can get her. I love her no matter what. She spent so long taking care of my sister, me, and my dad. If I need to help take care of her for the remainder of her life, than it is my privilege.

Hi cream! Yes, my mother is still alive but she lives very far away so I don't get to spend the day with her on Mother's Day. Since I can't, I like to surprise her with something that says how special she is to me. This year I sent her an antique necklace with a clasp I know she'll be able to operate. I hope you had a great Mother's Day, too.
